Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would purchase again if needed. I ordered 95 of these sheets. For my whole basement. They arrived on time and the driver was really nice, he was even as to maneuver the stack of sheets into my garage to protect it from rain. Every sheet was usable with only one having damage to a corner. Single sheets were easy to carry myself with a hand lift. I would definitely purchase these again if needed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from beware only 3/8 thick bought 4 of these for a bathroom reno. the existing drywall is 1/2" so bought this to match. too bad its only 3/8" thick so now i have to shim it all out to match with the existing wall. made it work but a big pain in the bum. I have come across this for several HD items. Item not as described. Buyer Beware The product itself is good. 4 stars for the product. but 1 star for item not as described

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage There is no sheet the same width as the next. This means your wall will have one sheet at 1/2 inch, next one at 3/8th. Next one somewhere in between. Just garbage. Cuts terribly. Dust everywhere. Purchase something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best thing since sliced bread. Much lighter than gyprock and easier to cut, holds well with screws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Careless delivery employees Nothing bad with the product itself, but an extra week shipping delay and receiving damaged goods, c'mon, one star is too much alraedy. Your delivery team sucks!

what's best for the bathroom walls behind a tub surround walls

Asked by: weme
Green board is mold resistant, so that would be best for this use. https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.12-inch-sheetrock-ultralight-mold-tough-4-ft-x-8-ft-drywall-gypsum-panel.1000152285.html

The Overview says "superior mold resistance". The Specifications say "Mold/mildew resistant: No." Which is correct?

Asked by: Richard
The discrepancy on the product page will be fixed, it should say "Yes" for mold/mildew resistant. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and apologies for the delay in response.

We are a family of 6 people and in a process for renovating our bathroom. Could we use it inside the shower area?

Asked by: Todd
Cement board should be used inside the shower area. Green board or mold resistant drywall is for damp areas such as outside the shower area in the bathroom

Can i use these directly for shower wall surround or cement board is better?

Asked by: Eric
Hi Eric, thank you for your inquiry. Durock Cement Board is the better choice, but UltraLight Mold Tough is an interior tile substrate in dry locations or areas with limited water exposure. Qualifies as a water-resistant backing board for ceramic tile in residential tub and shower enclosures as permitted in the National Building Code of Canada (9.29.10.4). It is not suitable for use as a substrate for tile in wet areas such as tubs and showers, gang showers and other areas subject to direct water exposure. Not to be installed in areas exposed to continuous high humidity such as indoor pools or spaces subject to open or standing water.

Is there a right side as I want to paint? Are both sides mold resistant?

Asked by: fitwit
Drywall has only one side good for finishing that must face the room. Same for mold resistant. It is green or purple. Look at the long edges of the finishing side, you see them slightly tapered. On the back side are not.

Asked by: asfghjt676
Probably not a good idea, because of moisture through concrete.

Can I use home depot product "Red Gard" over top of this product as water proofing? thanks.

Asked by: John
Red guard by Custom can absolutely be used as waterproofing over drywall. I suggest that if your drywall seams have drywall mud on them that you use paint primer on the wall then use red guard on top of the dry primer.

What type of drywall should I use on ceiling of my attached garage? Thanks

Asked by: vern
Hi Vern, it will depend on local building codes, but typically used on ceilings in this application would be 5/8" Firecode drywall panel (Type X).
