The bar is nice and allows you to slide hangers without the trouble that typical ventilated shelving gives you! I added this to my ClosetMaid Style+ 5-shelf closet system so that I would have more shelf space on the top. It was super easy. After I installed the 5-shelf system, I installed the rod brackets and popped the bars into place. It is that simple... Some tips when installing...use a level when installing the brackets. Make sure to put the rod in place before screwing the brackets in to make sure it fits nice and is level.

I like the pin locking design, as it keeps the rod from rotating as well as locking it in place and sliding from side to side. The tear drop shape of the bar also looks more elegant. I'm going to replace the rest of my closet rods with this same brand because it worked so well, and it looks much better than both the wood and steel rods that we have in the rest of our closets.

I wanted to replace it with something inexpensive but that looked nice. I bought 3 shelf systems, the top shelves and 3 hanging bars. I was able to put it all together and install it all myself in under a day.

I received the kit and built the unit but it was way too big for my closet. I have no idea how it could have been so far off. But I did have to return the entire system.

Yes, if you cut the metal down enough. Just make sure to cut the right sides of the metal because one side has the predrilled holes that fit into the brackets.
