Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product I installed a couple of these skylights in a cottage, and they have a lip around the inside that allows heat to escape really badly. The manufacturer claims this is a drywall lip, but there is no insulation around it so heat leaks out rampantly. This was a couple years ago, and I am about to rip them out and replace them. Waste of money - do not buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for flat roofs These are great skylights. They arnt as good as the glass in terms of reflecting the hot summer sun or insulating against the cold, but they are the best solution for flat roofs since the dome makes the water roll off the sides, where as a glass skylight let's the water pool on top. Also, if these are over a bathroom, the interior "gutter" will catch any condensation and direct it outside. I would suggest some silicone to air seal the skylight to the curb that it sites on. But dont use any polyurethane caulking since you wont be able to get the skykight off the next time the roof gets replaced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As advertised Not much in the box (pre-assembled skylight and instruction sheet - that's it) but that's all you need. I used it to replace an old skylight that was starting to leak. Of the 9 steps on the instruction sheet, the first 7 were about installing the opening in the roof. I skipped to step 8 and was able to get it done in an hour, including removing the old one. I did two layers of sealant (one on the curb, one on the inside) and it all installed very snugly. A month and several rain storms after and not a breath of leakage.

I installed 3 of these in an outdoor patio structure.  It’s a flat roof.  We are getting condensation between the glazing on 2 of the 3 units.  Not very nice to look through!  Is there a problem with these two units?  Defective seal?  Please help!

Hi Matt. Acrylic contract and expand with change in temperature and are not sealed units like glass. They do sometimes get condensation in between the panes as opposed to sealed glass units. They are not considered defective as it is the nature of the product. The condensation will drain to the outside of your roof.
