Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice unit I bought 5 of these to replace some old florescent tube units that I had in the basement. They are really nice. Installation isn't that hard but it does help to have a second set of hands available. My basement ceiling isn't that high so these units really help save headroom. They are really bright. Great for cleaning up and seeing everything clearly. They may be too bright for usual use and I installed a dimmer on three of them. Really helps. Dimmer works fine. I've heard with some other units that the dimmers buzz really loud but no problem here. Off the shelf dimmers work fine. I've had them installed for a couple of weeks now and no complaints from the family so that is a recommendation in itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Three colour temperatures and even, bright light The instructions are good, but it is still a bit tricky to install. Basic wiring knowlwdge and safety required. Take your time so as not to have a do-over. One person can manage it, but it is good to have a helper for the final phase of lifting the light panel to the ceiling and attaching it to the mount.

I have tried relentlessly to do this, over 2 days, it is not happening. The light itself is great but it's not much good if it stays hanging by its support wires. :/ Poor design. It shouldn't be this hard to do. Make a removable frame that screws into the mounting bracket and you may have a winner.

Pair this with a dimmer switch and it's the best of all worlds. I will also be putting on in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice bright sky light design Nice bright and even light. Only used 5000K colour temp. The only part I was not fond of is the top mountain plate with the tiny side arms that barely held the top side to the bottom. The roof had a slight curve and was a pain to slide up without bending the lips down which the light section catches onto. Installation was otherwise fairly easy, setting the colour temp on the unit itself was simply as flicking a switch.

Could these replace fluorescent troffer fixtures in a drop ceiling? The ones I currently have are 1' x 4'.

Can this 1 X 4 or the 2 X 4 lights be mounted off centre in regard to the junction box. eg. 3ft left of the box, 1ft to the right. Please confirm they are dimmable.

Thank you for your question. This fixture must be mounted with the junction box center on the fixture, otherwise the wiring will not feed to the fixture correctly. The mounting plate for this fixture is also attached to the junction box, with the slot in the center. The 2x4 panel is an exception to this, as it can also be hardwired to 277v and installed in a drop ceiling.

Installed four lights on a dimmer switch and they are buzzing. Buzzing is noticeable at full power and becomes worse when dimmed. I've tried both the Leviton Decora SureSlide and the Lutron Diva LED+ Dimmer Switch. Any suggestions to stop the buzzing?
