I didn't know there was a smart outlet that can be controlled wirelessly. This is an amazing product! I like that it is a smart duplex outlet but even more that each plug can be controlled independently of the other. It was easy to install, just push wires into place and tighten the screws. The outlet has markings for the proper wire installation. The outlet has lights which indicate connection for setup and after that they light when the outlet is on. The Hubspace app gives easy remote control for each outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent smart outlet that can be independently controlled without the need of a hub [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent smart outlet that allows each individual outlet to be independently controlled. It does not require a hub and is compatible with the various voice-activated smart assistants installed in smart speakers. One needs to use the Hubspace app available in the smart phone app stores to connect it to wifi and control it. I think the quality and build of the outlet is excellent and it looks great as well. The smart home device market is currently quite fragmented and my only concern and hope is that Commercial Electric brand and app will still be around for many years to come.

I like that it has separate smart technology per out, meaning both outlets are controllable. My prior outlet i has to use smart plug but I couldn't plug 2 in at the same time based on the size of the plug. No issue with this one. The directions are pretty poor though so I recommend they improve them. The setup was relatively easy but make sure you don't toss the start up guide because you need a qr code. There is one on the outlet inside but that's dumb since you have you install the plug before setting it up. The outlet comes with the cover and looks pretty good.

First of all it looks good, it's face plate is chunky and the plactic and socket are well built. Installation of the plug itself is very easy and took me less than 10 minutes. You know when you have done it right when you press the buttons on the plug and they are both green. Now, connectivity is to Hub space is very easy too. Download the app and follow instructions and your done and if you want to use google which I did it was just to choose who you wanted to use and press the link button and agree. Super easy. I can know ask google to turn on a lamp and also to run my roomba.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 120-Volt Tamper Resistant Duplex Smart Outlet Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Enabled [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Commercial Electric Duplex WI-Fi enabled Smart Outlet allows me the ability to turn the night light (inside hall security) on and off with voice activation. The instructions indicate that the socket also works with the Google assistant and hubspace app on Android or iPhone. Setup was easy by download the hubspace app from the play store and clicking on the (link Hubspace with Alexa) option. You also can use Echo, or Google Assistant apps. I like the ability to turn off and on the lights with the Alexa app on my Android phone when away from home. Very Good product that you can set up on a schedule if you wish to do so. You can operate two different products at one time creating the ability to appear at home; when not by have the two different lights, or a radio and a light on different schedules. Very neat product. I'm sure you will find it a needed tool (toy) after installed.

My other smart devices (Nest thermostat and Protect) have no issue brokering a 2.4 ghz connection on the single SSID. This is either an issue with the device or the app or both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TLDR ... Huge Improvement Over My Older Smart Outlets!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I jumped on the Smart Bandwagon early. Restoring an old house, with old outlets (so old, they had a hard time holding in a plug), and very few light switches, I thought Smart outlets was a great solution! Turns out, it was an expensive lesson. The first ones I installed were Z-Wave, and they had a hard time to get WiFi inside the old metal outlet boxes. I then replaced them with Z-Wave Plus, which was a huge improvement, but they were equally expensive (around $50 each). Also, only one of the two receptacles was Smart, and within 3 years, almost all have died (and annoyingly, when they die, the Smart receptacle is Off?!?!). So, after spending nearly $100/outlet, hours installing, and now having only one receptacle in each ... I gave up on Smart Outlets, and only bought Smart Plugs or Smart Devices. So, when Seeds offered me to try these, let's say I was leery. The main reason I am giving Smart Outlets a second chance (third?). Unlike Smart Plugs, they are rated 15A. Basically, anything you plug into a normal outlet; you can plug into them. Many Smart Plugs are 10A, and you should check before using them with high Amp things; like space heaters and vacuums. Also, Smart Plugs are wall warts. I would prefer not to look at them. I love that these are Hubspace. I already have many Hubspace Devices. It is a great App, and only getting better. Both receptacles being Smart, doubles their functionality. The fact they are Bluetooth, is great for places far from the Router. My Smart Devices in my Barn sometimes lose WiFi Signal. When that occasionally happens, to be able to still control them with my phone is great! This were easy to install. The innards were the same size as my old ones (see pic). Alexa added them by herself. At this price, I will likely replace more. Home Depot really should make these a Bulk Buy item!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This outlet is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Enabled outlet that can control either both or separately, each outlet. What a great idea. You can plug in a light, etc. and control it from wherever you are that has either a cell phone or computer connection to the internet. It is attractive and comes with its own cover plate. We will be using it in our new cottage to control lights when we are away, but, you could hook it up to an appliance like a coffeemaker and control it from your bedroom with a cell phone. The unit comes with a special code that is unique to that outlet, so keep the code card in a safe place in case you need to use it. But, if you lose the card, you can take the outlet out of the wall and you will find the code on the back of the unit as well. That's a nice touch. As for hookup, it works like a regular outlet and is tamper resistant and meets code standards.
