I used them them to replace my existing lights in the kitchen, I was lucky and the hole size was sthe same so it was just as simple as pulling the old ones out and wiring the new ones in.It would be nice if they had the quick connect for the wiring but no real problem. One of the nice features is that you set what type of lighting you want, soft white to daylight. They work great on my dimmer switch and will be looking to get more in the future to replace other light in the house

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Bought 2 boxes to install in my home office. These were super simple to install. Picked up a 4¼" hole saw to make the job easier and make clean holes. The metal boxes are a little on the thin side, but they do the job. The box includes everything you need (twist on connectors, 1/2 In. loomex plastic connector to feed and secure the wires into the box, screws and even drywall plugs to secure the box). I did not use the screws and plugs. I found it was easier for me to use some industrial grade Velcro I had on hand to secure the boxes to the beams (hard to get screwdriver into small 4¼" hole and try to screw boxes onto the beams. But it is nice that they are included for those with more patience :) I really like the option that the controller box has 3 settings for light color, since I was undecided on what I'd prefer in my office. Turned out the middle setting was my favorite. Not too yellow, and not too sterile white. They also hold/snap up nice and tightly against the ceiling. I put them on a basic old Lutron dimmer I had lying around and surprisingly it works perfectly, no flicker, and the lowest setting is just right. My office is about 14'x10', and I installed them in a 2x3 pattern, with about 34" from each wall, and about 48" between adjacent lights. Obviously slightly adjusted ±2" due to beam locations. Will definitely be buying more of these for my basement remodel, coming soon. Hope they don't discontinue a great product. Would be nice if they make 6" versions, that also have color selection switches on the controllers and would be also brighter (20% or more). Just wishing out loud :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4in recessed slim led multi color pot lighting. Happy with this product. I've installed many in the past so there are a few design features that are great to see. First the color changer is on the outside of the driver which is very convenient when deciding which color of light you would like to have. The ballast works good on standard lutron dimmers, I was only able to to test up to 4. To achieve proper dimming you may need to purchase a resistive load if you are installing on circuits less than 2 pot lights. All parts included, I did not like how each driver is covered in plastic, it adds extra time to the install, and isn't required nor environmentally friendly. Overall I was glad I was able to install these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light I bought these for a basement renovation in my house. We used four of them in the one bedroom, created a nice even light across the room. They were very easy to install, they come with an easy to detach plug in the rare occasion that they burn out. Able to switch the light without having to deal the house wiring. They come with a box that all the wire connections are contained in, the light itself is very thin. They are no thicker then 1/2” drywall so I was able to install them even when a floor joist was in the way. I really like you can pick the color of the light with just the flip of a switch, can really dial in the right light for the room. These lights work a lot better than a pot light, they create a nice even glow and not a spot like traditional pot lights

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Commercial Electric 4 inch Pot Light I have installed these pot lights in a bathroom renovation I just completed. They were amazing. So simple to install and in an insulated ceiling they took up no room. I was able to maintain the vapor barrier in the ceiling by cutting a small hole in the vapor barrier for the junction box then pushed it up into the insulation and then used Tuck Tape to seal the hole. The fixture it self slid right in to the hole and was flush with the drywall on the insulated side and the finished side. You can cut the 4 1/4 inch hole with a hand drywall saw but would recommend a hole saw for perfect fit.

They come well packaged with all the hardware you need to install them. The lights have 3 settings are are easy to adjust before you install the light. 3000, 4000, and 5000K. The light is metal not plastic and is well finished. I will recommend these to friends and family.

I like that you can adjust the colour with a simple switch on the device and Have the option of soft white, bright white or daylight to choose from. I Installed these in a drywall ceiling in my basement where I had minimal clearance and these worked great. I will definitely be buying these again for my next Reno.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You can install these these almost anywhere Very thin. Fit very well even if you used 1/2" drywall on your ceiling. However, there is a 1-1/4" thick driver/junction box you have to deal with. We had to do a lot of finessing to get that in on our application which involve installing strapping/drywall over a plaster ceiling. But the result was worth it. Dimmer worked fine as well.

Can these be installed into aluminum soffit?

Aluminum soffit could be a bit of a challenge depending on the amount of support you are going to provide. The aluminum is thin and the clips may not hold the lights up tight to the aluminum. it could make the soffit sag. You would also have to place the wiring box well above the soffit to protect it given that most aluminum soffit is vented. Consider adding some plywood as a backer to the soffit where you want to put the lights.

How do you select the color temperature? The LED to power supply connector only goes in one way as it is keyed, nothing at the connector end rotates to select, and the manual just says "Select Color Temperature"

I am having trouble finding a dimmer switch that works properly.  Doesn't matter where the dimmer is set, the lights flicker on and off some times and other times will just give a quick flick.  I installed a plain switch and they work fine.

I will be installing into an insulated attic space. The ceiling is made of 0.5" drywall with about 0.25" plaster. Will these lights secure properly with a wall with a minimum thickness of at least 0.75"?
