Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1 power supply = 3 outlets Using one standard sized power supply/wall wart takes up 3 outlets. Seriously, see my pic. So, using three standard power supplies could potentially leave you with only another 3 outlets available. With that, your 12 outlet surge protector becomes a 6 outlet surge protector. I definitely didn't pay for a 6 outlet surge protector. IF you don't rely on too many wall warts, this thing should be fine for you.

When plugging any transformer to the outside outlet s there is no space left to plug in even a lamp plug into the middle outlet. It needs more spacing between the middle to outside outlets. See image.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although CE TECH's 6 ft. 12-Outlet USB RJ45 Coax Surge Protector is a solidly-constructed surge protector, it, unfortunately, does not succeed in doing what it's intended to do: allow for up to 12 devices to be plugged into it at once. As you can see from the attached picture, even though some of the outlets are spaced wide apart, they still sit very close to the center line of outlets, and that's where the problem arises. If I plug an oversized "wall plug" into one of the widely-spaced outlets, it blocks one or two of the nearest regular outlets, too. In effect, then, use of the plugs may be limited to only 6 or so plugs rather than the 12 that are available. If that's not a big deal for you, then this is otherwise a good product; however, if you need to plug in more than 6 devices and most of them have oversized "wall plugs," you're going to be frustrated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not what I hoped [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Take a good look at the picture of this surge protector. Then look at the name, "12-Outlet". Okay, so looking at it there are closely spaced outlets up the middle (for standard plugs, I guess) and more widely spaced outlets on the outside edges for (one might assume) transformers. However, using one of the transformer outlets blocks at least one, but sometimes two or three (!) of the standard outlets in the center. As you can see in the photo, if I put the transformers in the corner socket they only block two center outlets, and that way I can get four transformers and two standard plugs into the surge protector. I have four standard plugs to protect. What do I do with the other two? Or do I plug two of the transformers in somewhere else? Maybe if I moved the transformers next to each other in a bunch I could use 8 of the twelve outlets? But the transformers seem to get pretty hot when bunched up like that. Okay, beyond that beef, there are some nice features, such as the fact that there is coax protection, RJ-45 (network cable) protection, plus two powered USB plugs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not wide enough I got this Surge Protector because the other one I had gotten for a different location in my house wasn't available in my local Home Depot. While installing behind a TV/Stereo stand I found that my large plugs that are on some of my devices end up covering up other sockets. I got on Home Depot to search for the other one I have and now have ordered it. It's just $5 more and is wide enough that the large plus won't cover other sockets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my son's room because he has TONS of electronics and we don't need them to get fried in a freak power surge. He finally got this set up and sadly has a room for a few more gadgets. He likes the number of outlets and the USB plugs as well. Overall I'm pleased, though I might not get it back when he moves out. I like the darker color vs. the off-white power strips I have collected over the years, makes it less conspicuous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Last Two Months I bought this late August. I like the number of outlets and the built-in USB ports. I was using this with a basic office computer, a 22-in TV as a monitor, and some small electronics. I would use the power switch to turn everything off when done. This morning when I turned it on, not everything worked. Some of the outlets were dead. As I tried other outlets, those too would also die. In the end, only a single 3-outlet row on it were left working. The other two rows on it were completely dead. Basic electrical equipment should not die like that and so quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This powerstrip has a flexible outlet arrangement, allowing the use of at least 6 "wall wart" plugs, possibly more. I likely won't be able to use all 12 outlets due the their close placement. It should protect my sensitive equipment, including the input and output of my cable modem. It has up to 43dB noise suppression from 150kHz to 100MHz and, at 4500 joules, a generous amount of surge suppression. The USB voltage output measured 4.94v, a little lower than typical, but well within the USB specification. It's made in China and is well constructed. When wall mounting, it seems designed for vertical mounting based on the arrangement of the keyholes on the back. CE TECH is a captive brand of Home Depot. There's no detailed warranty information in the package, but there is a customer service number.
