Rated 1 out of 5 by from USB ports don't work and some cord plugs don't work in this device - will return it. At first, I thought this was a good surge protector. However, it turns out that the USB ports don't work. In addition, when I attempted to plug in a USB converter so that I could charge my phone, that also doesn't work. So this is of no value for half of the reason I purchased it (charging my phone) - I'll return it. Both my USB charger and charger plug do work other places. In addition, in reading other reviewers of products from this company, there were questions about grounding and I'm not sure that it would be an effective surge protector. Before keeping it, even if I didn't care about the USB problem, I would need evidence that it was effective as a surge protector.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a modestly priced surge protector that I could use for my many electronic devices. I also needed one with a longer cord so I could use it near my bedside. This CETECH product fits the bill. It's easy to use, just plug-in, switch on, and see the protector and grounded lights turn green. I can plug in 7 three-prong plugs and two USB plugs. I can't speak to the actual surge protection because all I could do was turn off the breaker. Once I turned it back on the green lights came back on, so I guess it worked. This is more than an extension cord and gives me a little more insurance that my devices are protected. My only criticism is on its own plug design. I strongly dislike the flat 3-prong plug that can only be used on the bottom outlet. I lose versatility of where I can plug in. However, I do see that if you had furniture or a desk up against the wall this flat plug would be beneficial. I think this is a good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed this in HR office, where a lot of equipment is located. Especially liked the one offset plug for electronics that have a power transformer allowing all plugs to be utilized instead of losing a plug to these bulky plugins. $200,000 replacement warranty is a nice bonus. The 2 USB ports are beneficial to the employee enabling them to charge their tablet and phone if needed. The wall plug is a flat plug and doesn't stick out from the wall. Nice!

If you are intending to mount this on the wall, the problem is that the mounting holes are not centered and there are only two. Where most other similar strips will have 3 holes that are centered or evenly distributed. This one only has two holes and they are placed on the side, so it doesn't mount very securely and if mounting horizontally, you have to mount it with the grounding holes on top. If you mount it with the grounding holes on the bottom, then the weight of any cords or power blocks plugged in will pull the top edge of the strip away from the wall. Poor design as it wasn't thought through how it will be used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES NOT PROTECT I hardly ever write reviews but felt compelled here by the loss of equipment at the hand of this “surge protector” had my modem, tv, router, xbox all plugged into this. During a lightning storm last night my power surged due to a lightning strike everything plugged into this was immediately fried!! I always make sure that everything i have is plugged into surge protectors to avoid this type of conclusion unfortanetly wish I didnt put my trust in this product - AVOID

I bought this power strip so that I could connect multiple DC power supplies into one location in the event of a power loss. It is mostly my fault for the 3 star rating because I did not take a close enough look at the orientation of the plug-in holes. They are 90 degrees off so I was only able to plug in 3 of my 5 power supplies. Even if the plug-ins were rotated 90 degrees they still would not have worked because they are too close together. If you are looking to plug in multiple DC power supplies make sure you look at the plug orientation and the center to center spacing needed to plug them in without interference. The power strip appears to be made well and I am sure it works fine. If you are plugging it into a wall duplex outlet, you will not be able to use a WiFi repeater on the same outlet because of the flush plug on the cord of the power strip. If you want a flush plug then this will work great. Hope this helps someone.

Too many electronic products today have AC/DC adapters that are odd shaped or oversized that take up room on a power strip. I needed to get a power strip surge protector that had a USB port and was longer to accommodate several plugs that covered over several sockets . The plus to this surge protector is the 2100 Joule rating which will protect against stronger surges and last longer than one with lower J rating.to better protect the electronics plugged into it. The 6 ft. cord gives it greater flexibility for the electronics on my desk as well as the table along side.

I purchased this protector in part because of the $200,000 warranty that is included. I see no information on the box, in the instructions, or on this website about how to register the product, or activate the warranty if needed. I have proof of purchase; do I need to register this product, and, if so, how do I do so?

I have 3 power strips connected to each other for my computer, monitors, and router; do I need to replace all with surge protection outlets or just the 1 that is connected to the wall outlet?
Asked by: ShawnMor
Hello, from a safety point of view you should never daisy chain your power stripes as you have described. Each strip should be directly plugged into an outlet. 1 surge protector will protect all if plugged into same strip.

Will this be OK for radio, phone, and air conditioner? Are the USB ports affected if everything is running at the same time? Thanks!
Asked by: mspace
I use mine for tv, dvd and phone plugs, the USB ports shouldn’t be affected by your plugs. I think ac should be directly plugged into an outlet so on that issue I give an I don’t know.

Can this surge protector be mounted to a wall?
Asked by: phil
Yes. It has special slots that a screw head can be slid into. Just put the screws in the location where you want the strip mounted and the strip can be slid over them.
