Seat is harder than expected but comfortable enough. The back cutout is rough in some places. For the price, it is pretty easy to sand down the tough patches and use a stain pen to cover. Color of wood is dark with a tinge of red finish. Not sure if I will need to stain it. Waiting for the breakfast bar to be complete.

Where does the back of the seat connect to the chair pad. Ive had bad luck with some other barstools that needed to be constantly tightened.

Looking for a back that is attached to the seat so that the back does not get lose snd wobbly.
