Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tapis chauffe pieds On ne sait pas quel côté est le dessus. Cela n’a peut-être pas d’importance. Il fonctionne très bien.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Je le recommande Fais la job attendue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps My Feet Comforable, Not Hot This was just what I needed. It warms up my feet and surprisingly I feel the heat climbing up my legs which is great as I have it placed under my desk and the air from the portable heater does not reach under there. My feet and legs do not get hot, they just become comfortably warm. I am fortunate that I have vinyl planking right over concrete so the floor is not a problem. However they did recommend using cardboard between the floor and the mat which I have done. It has been on daily for at least four hours for a month and a half. I removed the mat to clean and inspected the flooring and I cannot see any damage. I am extremely happy with this mat as I can finally sit at my craft desk and have warm feet after years of freezing feet.

The cord comes out in the middle of one short side and the cord gets kinked easily. Also, there are two thicker areas of the mat that you can feel under your feet if you are standing on them that make the effective standing area of the mat about 25% smaller. These "lumps" would have been less annoying if they were at the edge of the mat instead of in the middle. Turn it on early (I have mine on a time) if your floors are concrete as it takes quite a while (2-3 hours) for the concrete to heat up and allow the mat to reach full temperature. I'm using this at a standing workstation on a concrete floor in a poorly heated garage and it does the job of keeping my feet from feeling cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps my feet warm. Keeps my feet toasty. I agree with the other reviewers, it does get too hot at times, so I wear socks or slippers to prevent that from happening. I used the mat the other day to dry a bunch of boots and gloves overnight, and it worked like a charm. Heed the warning for smells though, and the heavy rubber off-gasses quite a bit. A soap wash, and a month of use has dissipated it a lot, just be forewarned.

What are the dimensions of this mat?  What controller (thermostat) do you use with it?

Asked by: Teddydoctor
Mine is 16" wide and 36 inches long with the electrical connector at the centre of the long end. The only thing that came with it is an off on switch. I have heard of half power switches for this unit, but I went to my local hardware store and bought an E211835 delay timer good for 15A resistive load (much more than this foot warmer). I plug it into an extension cord and plug the foot warmer into it. I then push a button to set it for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. After the time, it shuts off. I find that works well.
