We like these radiant oil-filled heaters so much better than the forced-air heaters because they give a more consistent heat that feels natural and not harsh. We've been using these for a few years now in the cooler months and they work great to help us keep warm and our heating costs down. We can keep our main HVAC heating system settings lower and use these heaters just in the areas of our home that we are in. The adjustable heat is very responsive, and these do such a great job that we find we only need it on the lower settings. Why waste money keeping the HVAC running to keep every nook and cranny of a home heated when in reality we're only using a few of the rooms consistently? We love these, and have bought one for a family member, who loves his as well.

Were using the oil heater in a 10'x10' bedroom set at 600W medium heat setting. It has kept the room at a perfectly even heat level all night long; with out any noise, without any air blowing on our faces. We're now thinking about getting another one to use in a larger bedroom. I think it actually exceeds our expectations. At this price range I suggest giving it a try.

I will say that if it’s unplugged before use, it will take awhile to warm up. Since mine is in daily use, I have it plugged and just turn it on when needed

What is purpose of oil? do I have to pour oil ? what kind of oil this heater requires?

This heater does not require you to fill it. It comes prefilled from the manufacturer. I have gone through two winters living in a home with no heating source (why i purchased this heater) and i can honeatly say it was the best thing i ever did. Still belts out the heat. And most times i keep it at medium on the first setting.

We have a very drafty house. I do not want to run my furnace non stop. I'm thinking of putting this in my living room/dining room to top up the heat. What size room would this heat?

Is it normal that when set to high that the power light turns off and on before the room heats up. Looks like the over temp is kicking in as when you turn the temp controller down the power light stays on.

I think so - found this in the - As the Heater automatically cycles on and off to maintain the chosen room temperature, the indicator light also cycles on and off to indicate when Heater is operating. As long as the selected power switch is on, the Heater operates, even if the indicator light is off.

HOw about its size

It's a very convenient size, it has wheels so can easily be moved around. It has different 'watt' settings which allows you to save on electricity depending on your heating needs. This is the first winter season I am using it and so far I am satisfied with the product.
