Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cure time! I agree with other reviews about cure time. I installed a tile shower pan and the grout is eroding after a couple months. Tech support informed me to wait 7 days on a shower pan which i did not. CBP would not send replacement grout. I will use this product again. It seems they have changed their tune on how long to let it dry. The tub says wait three days before exposing to water which i most likely adhered to as a I am a stickler for the directions. You need to put on the directions to wait seven days and should have sent me replacement tub of grout. I do like the grout and will use again but am not impressed with service after the sale.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for me This is my first time using single stage grout. I was doing a fairly small area of accent tile and though I would enjoy the benefits of the sealing features. I simply could keep the sealing component of this grout off my small tiles. If I got aggressive with the sponge, I pulled the grout out of the joints, if I kept the surface wetted the grout washed out of the joints. After drying the grout pulled away and cracked. I saw no way to salvage the situation and use this product effectively. My project is compromised and I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this product for any situation. No more shortcuts for me. I will go aback to traditional methods.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Is it grout or Sanded TAR? Worst product I have ever used in over 6 projects. I have volunteered work on a bathroom in a home that is hosting some refugees. The home owner bought this based on a sales person at Home Depot. This 'pre-mixed' product is a gritty tar like substance when you open the sealed bucket. I don't believe that you can thin it. It is almost impossible to get into 1/8" spacing and very hard to clean off of the tile surfaces. It claims it is also suitable for 1/16" grout lines....IT IS NOT! I have bought a box of the normal mix your own grout at 1/4 the price to finish the job. I have advised the home owner to see if she can get a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In theory this stuff should make your reno easier I bought this premixed grout to do a bathroom floor. I though the premixed product would make life easier... I was dead wrong. This stuff starts to harden almost immediately after you get it in the groove, nothing on the cab says to watch the online video which I did... after the fact. Home Depot also does not sell the product in canada that I can see to remove the colored resin haze that has my tiles looking horrible so that’s a problem too. If you’re a DIY person doing grout stick with the mix yourself old school type or pay the price of possibly never cleaning your tiles off! I am so angry with how this grout ruined my floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tried a new product I had never tried this product before but it sounded good. I had initially trouble getting the surface too wet and this made the product too runny. What finally worked for me was to use a medium-soft float and wetting the grout lines first with a spray bottle and plain water just to get a fog on the tiles. I had severely under-estimated how much I would use for the 12x24 tiles because the accent strip using 1x1 tiles sucked up a lot of material. Running out to get another tub and finishing the next day, I cannot tell where I stopped and started again. Good color match!

I recommend this product with reservations as stated next The Grout does a fine job of filling the grout lines, but to clear off the excess is like trying to clean off a permanently tacky glue. I had to go back and scrape off the excess with a razor blade. Fortunately, I only did half of the job (about 10 SQ FT) which took about one hour. That’s one minuet to apply and 59 minuets to clean. When I did the second half, I used a very small spatula to apply so that I had very little to clean off. The second half took 45 minuets 30 to apply and 15 to clean, I much prefer the second half. I used this on tile laid over plywood in hopes that it will remain flexible and so far, so good about two weeks.

The specs say this is sanded grout...Does it etch or scratch clear glass tiles?

I have been told to avoid sanded grout products, but this looks so convenient !

It all depends on the spacing you use. A 1/16th of an inch spacer, and you can practically do 400 square feet. With 1/8th of an inch, probably half that, 200sq-feet. Good news is, you can buy what you need and you can always add more grout. The color matching between the runs are perfect.

It can be applied over it, and this will work; however, you really need to dig-out the old grout in order to give the new grout enough surface to grab onto. It's simple... but requires a lot of elbow grease to get the old grout out. Putting the new grout in is the easy job. There's no quick fix, unfortunately. Have to grind the old grout out with a grinding wheel on a grinder, using a vacuum cleaner to get the dust.

Yes, it appears the same. I prefer this product for smaller jobs because it's already pre-mixed, so it lends to faster application, no mess, no fuss clean-up afterwards. Whatever is left over in pail can be re-used if pail is sealed tightly after use which adds to a reduced waste factor.

A customer of mine purchased this product, installed it according to the specs and is having an issue with the grout drying? The home is heated/temperature controlled and He has used this before and has not had a problem, what could be causing the grout to not dry?
