The light was very difficult to install as the top connecting glass wasn't even, and quite rough so it took quite a bit of tinkering with your hands about your head on a ladder to get it right. VERY annoying. Then good luck trying to clean the inner glass. However, they did include ONE cotton glove. They did NOT include the lightbulb, though. Again, annoying. 4 stars, though, because the light itself looks really cool.

Is the wiring easy enough to pull up and cut off what&rsquo;s not needed. I have a sloped ceiling and there&rsquo;s a front door near. So I&rsquo;d need to make the wiring much shorter. Is it possible. Thanks&nbsp;

Can the stem be shortened on this light so that it hangs at a much shorter length and also, can it be installed on a sloped ceiling (is the stem detachable from the base plate so it can sit on an angle without being an eyesore?)

This fixture doesn't come with a stem, it comes with black wire to hang from the ceiling. The wire is adjustable and will allow the fixture to be hung on a sloped ceiling.

I know they are 11in but esthetically, would these be too big to have 2 hanging over a 6ft island?
