Hi, Does it have a temporary password for guests? Can I open remotely? what kind of battery is used? how long will it stay? Is it outdoor?

It does not have a temporary guest password, but you can create a password that multiple people could use. Though, it is probably more secure to create one per guest. I am not aware of being able to unlock the door remotely. Four (4) AA batteries are used. They last about 6 months. It is designed for exterior doors, but can be used on interior doors as long as they are thick enough. The touchpad and fingerprint reader can also withstand freezing temperatures.

I don't get it. The diagram shows a conventional passage door latch and below that it looks like 4 dead bolts. Is this how this lock works. There is no explanation in the manual.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out! The lower bolt, known as the deadbolt, can only be opened from the inside when locked. The ones above it, when locked, allow the door to be opened from the outside. The three bolts in the middle can be locked or unlocked using the handle.
