does this unit need to be vented

Does this have a reservoir for the water or do you need a hose?

Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes this unit does have a reservoir for water, but that internal reservoir only holds about 2 cups of water. In cooling mode, it should not need to be emptied since the unit evaporates that water to help with the cooling process. However, if you wish to use the unit in dehumidifier mode or heat mode, we recommend installing the continuous drain hose to remove the excess water. Regards, Heather Consumer Service

Is this unit self-evaporating? How long is the electrical cord? Is there a bottom and upper drain port? Does it come with a drain hose? I gather this unit is not energy star rated - How many watts is the unit? Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for your questions. The DPA120HE3BDB-6 is self-evaporating however you may still need to drain the unit on occasion if the humidity is high as this may create too much water for the unit to self-evaporate. The power cord is approximately 1.50 meters (4.92 feet) long and the unit does come with a drain hose. There is one drain port located at the bottom of the unit. It is not Energy Star rated and the power consumption when in cooling mode is 1200 Watts and 11.2 amps. Regards Ann H. Consumer Service

What is the noise level in decibels, please?
