Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made a great beer fridge (keezer). So far, so good. Using this as a beer fridge (keezer) with an exterior temperature controller. With a 9 inch collar inserted between the lid and the chest, it can easily hold 5 20 liter ball lock kegs and a 20lb CO2 tank.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Good Delivered couple of days ago. Plugged in and let it sit. Quiet and cold. Today noticed frost on on upper surface near the lid. Also noticed that it opened very easily. Then I used a piece of thin paper to check the integrity of the seal in several spots all around the perimeter. The front was Ok, but the back area was loose. Bending down, looking lengthwise along the back seal, I could see daylight. Not good. I removed the decorative hinge covers. There are 4 screws. I loosened them, pressed down with moderate pressure on the lid above that hinge, while re-tightening the screws. Both sides. Now the paper drags all the way around the seal. Now the lid is harder to open due to vacuum it now creates. If it came from the factory this way, it really would be 5 stars. Also, 3 old milk crates fit perfectly inside as cheap stackers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works but has issues: Brand new unit, emits 3 different noises which 2/3 seem not normal. 1. Popping noises (normal noise due to expansion and contracting metal walls) 2. Gargling noise on compressor startup (abnormal unless freyon levels are low) 3. Rattling noise from compressor (the side panel is emitting a rattle where the compressor is located) I've owned other chest freezers in the past and some even bigger with less noise than this one...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works but makes too much noise I've used Danby AC's fridges, microwaves and mini fridges for a while and have been happy with them. But this chest freezer although works well just makes way too much noise. Everything from vibrating metal to clanging and banging noises and everything else in-between. If I could do it over again I wouldn't have bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great freezer! Would recommend. Great freezer! I have it set up in the garage as a secondary freezer and it is big enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 dogs (we give them raw food and so store 2 weeks' worth of raw food in the freezer at a time). It was very easy to set up and it's kept our food frozen perfectly. I used the curb side pick up service when I went to get it from Home Depot and was very impressed at how efficient HD were in getting my freezer out to me quickly once I clicked on the email to say I was there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfactory So far so good. Performance well, and no noise. I purchased it online so I did not receive a receipt as in the store. Is the online payment form treated as a receipt when I need warrant service?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Freezer We have had our Danny chest freezer for about a month but, so far, we are very happy with it. It is the perfect size for the space we had for it. Thus far, it has been working flawlessly. We are also appreciative of the 5-year warranty, something many of the other manufacturers don’t offer. We highly recommend this freezer.

If I buy this freezer for the garage and the temp is -4 celcius and you are suppose to let the freezer sit before plugging it in, will the freezer actually start okay at that temperature, or is it best to originally start it at room temperature?

Asked by: bman33
Hi bman33, Thank you for your interest in our product. You may start the unit in this ambient temperature since it was designed to perform in temperatures from 0°F to 110°F (-17°C to 43°C). Please make sure that the unit will stand upright first for 6 to 8 hours. Freezers are tested to perform in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F (-17°C to 43°C). It is not designed for outside installation, including anywhere that is not temperature controlled such as porches, vehicles, etc. Sincerely, Adrian

I'd like to pick this up in my vehicle, but it will only fit sideways in my SUV/vehicle. Will it cause any operational problems if the unit is tipped on it's side during transport?

Asked by: jerry156
No. I put it on it’s side in my vehicle and it’s been fine. Just don’t plug it for 24 hours once you get it in your house.

Is there a light inside this freezer?

Asked by: ElIott
There is not since it opens up it is easy to use the light from the room to see what is in it....

The question of inside dimensions has been answered but these usually have a bump in the lower part of the freezer for the compressor. Can someone give me the dimension of the lowest area (bottom) not including the bump. (l x w x h)
