Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who knew Danby could be so good ? This unit is a great value. It's powerful and effectively cools my entire 500sq. ft. apartment Much quieter than my previous LG6000btu. It does make a bit of fan noise but nothing like the ear piercing whine of the LG. The added BTU capacity makes a huge difference in cooling and we have had several days of 30'C days here. It is well built product too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really well. Great unit. Cools like a boss. Wish i bought 2 of these instead of these and a cheapo Toshiba 5000 BTU.

Hi, does this air conditioner fit in a casement slider window (window slides from right to left to open)? If so, how is it supported so that it doesn't fall out the window?

Asked by: Danielle
Yes it does! Obviously, you have to cut some plywood to fill the gaps, but a great unit! Cools 800 sq ft easily and amazing!

Just installed this product and working well!  However it’s not draining any water out.  Is this a problem?  Could not find any tube to direct water output.

Asked by: Libby123
Hi Libby123, Please make sure that the appliance is properly angled to allow water to drain to the outside. Also, When outdoor temperatures are below 18.3°C (65°F), frost may form when the appliance is in cooling mode. Please try to switch the appliance to fan-only mode until the frost melts. Lastly, please give your unit a hard reboot. Unplug it and plug it back in after 15-20 minutes. This allows the unit to warm and drain if there is any frost stopping draining and go back to factory settings. If the issue doesn't resolve after performing the following steps, please reach out to our customer service team, and we’d be happy to look into this for you. Contact us at consumerservice@danby.com or fill in your information at https://www.danby.com/support/.   Regards,    Earl

Is this normal? 1of 4 screws on the rear of the unit (along bottom... can't attach picture to this) is screwed into the vent. Will it affect function? Will it affect lifespan of unit?

Asked by: Sirius
Hi Sirius, Thank you for this question. The screws on this side of the unit should be at the bottom of the vents. Please contact our consumer support at https://www.danby.com/support/ for proper assistance. Regards, Adrian
