Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not A Vaccine Refrigerator!!!!!! I purchased this unit for a client. I was very dissatisfied as soon as I took it out of the box. There was a dent in the door. My client needed this unit immediately so they accepted the dent. I plugged it in, set it for 5 Celsius, and left. The next day my client called about the unit fluctuating. I returned to find the external air probe fluctuating from -5.6 Celcius to 1.9 Celsius and the external glycol probe fluctuating -3.4Celsuius to 2.6 Celsius when the setpoint was set to 5 Celsius. I checked the data logger and more than 90% of the temperatures logged were 5 Celsius exactly. No fluctuation. I confirmed that the display and data logging were incorrect with two external thermometers and the bottles of water I placed in the fridge for stabilization were frozen. My client wanted a cheap fridge and that's what they received. This is not adequate for vaccines as it does not have backup batteries for the alarms, should have a probe hole for thermometer probes, the temperature alarms operate on a 5 degree offset (for example, if the setpoint is 5 the alarm will sound when the temperature is below 0 Celsius and above 10 Celsius). I do not recommend this unit. This unit does not meet Public Health guidelines.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Manual states “not for vaccine” Auto defrost cycle warms its interior to over 8* regularly every few days which may degrade vaccines.

After that I was unable to change it, and it has been difficult to call Danby. The fridge keeps my insulin in a narrow range, which is what I needed-that part works great.
