Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice spacious freezer The freezer is awesome. Small size is just what I wanted. Tons of space. Only complaint is that I paid $55 for shipping and it was delivered but left in my yard. Did not bring it in the house or even offer. I was home. I literally watched him take if off to truck and deposit it by my step.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good freezer! A great size! Delivery was fast & the freezer was light enough that 2 could manage to move it. It works well & the door closes very tight to keep the cold air in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed I both that article 02/08/2020,because was the right size and it was frost free. Two weeks after it was fully packed of ice.I want to bring back, but i decided to lower the temperature to 3 and to install the freezer bags upright. For a while was fine. Sadly i forgot to check up on it and my 1 month warranty is gone. Now i am stacked with a freezer with shelves full of ice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with the extra freezer capacity This freezer is very quiet and almost triples the capacity of the 3 cu. ft. mini-freezer we had before. We live in an older bungalow with a bit of a slant to the floor, and the unit was easy to level. No problems with it so far (but we've only had it for a few months) and the five-year warrantee offers additional peace of mind. It keeps everything frozen with the thermostat set around the middle range and the insulation seems good although the back and front are colder to the touch than the sides. The interior has three flat shelves, which limit the amount of stuff you can pack onto them. We bought 9x16x5 inch wire baskets which really help - baskets should be included or at least an option. It's a manual defrost unit so we are not looking forward to the day we have to perform that task but so far there is very little ice build-up. Overall, very happy with the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size freezer, at a great price! This freezer is the perfect size for my wife and I. For a family of more than 2 I would probably recommend something a little bigger but, combined with the freezer in our fridge, we have more than enough space for everything we need frozen. It's also really nice to have the shelves in the door, as most freezers this size (and even quite a few bigger ones) don't. Another small feature I'm quite fond of is the removable defrost tray at the bottom of the freezer, which should make defrosting extremely easy. I personally haven't had the need to defrost ours yet, but it's going to be nice to not to have to use a bucket to do so. Overall we're very happy with this freezer!

Hi I just purchased this freezer but I'm a bit confused about setting the proper temperature. (The numbers don't tell what temperature they represent) At what nr should I set the freezer? Thank you for your help

    Asked by: Revan
The temperature setting will depend on the ambient temperature and how much food is stored in the unit. We recommend setting the temperature to the halfway point and then decide whether to turn it up or down based on how the unit performed. If you have any other questions please contact us directly at consumerservice@danby.com so we can assist you further.

I've had this freezer for less than a month, it is COMPLETELY frost covered...what is the right temperature to keep it at? Please advise. Thank you.

    Asked by: rNd L
Hello, We recommend you set the temperature knob around 4. If you are having a large frost build up it could be related to how often you are opening the door and the ambient humidity. Regards Ann

Everytime I close the freezer door I hear quite a loud "shhhhhh" - is this normal? I understand it's airtight, but is the noise normal? Thank you.

    Asked by: rNd L
Hello rNd L, That is a normal sound of the door resealing. When you close the door warm air gets inside and the process of cooling it creates a suction which is why we recommend you wait a few minutes before trying to reopen the door. Regards Ann

    Is this appliance frost free?

    Asked by: Barbara48
Hello Barbara48, Thank you for your question. The upright freezer is not frost free. It requires a manual defrost which is recommended once the frost reaches approximately 1/4 inch. Regards Ann
