AlexPLUS contains silicone, which allows for excellent adhesion and flexibility to resist expansion and contraction without cracking. It provides a waterproof seal and prevents air and moisture from passing through cracks and joints thereby improving energy efficiency. Cured caulk is mildew resistant. Alex Plus is paintable with latex and oil-based paints. It is easy to use, easy to tool, low in odour, cleans up easily with soap and water and has a low VOC content.

After few days of drying up. it started to crack. Now I need to do the job all over again. Either 100% latex or 100% silicone. Don't be fooled by the price. You get what you pay.

Is this caulk odourless?

If not, can you recommend one that is. My wife is pregnant and I need to have a product that is odourless so that it doesn't harm the fetus. THanks.

DAP ALEX PLUS exhibits a very mild "latex" odor, however, we would recommend that there be no exposure to this material until after it has fully dried and there in no detectable odor.

Is this good for caulking around the edges of the bathtub that attaches to the wall tiles?

Yes, I used it along the back of my vanity where it meets the wall tiles. It is perfect. I expect eventually it will dry out and pull away, but not for a long time.

Can you tell me why this item is $2.37 online, but $3.27 in the store? I ordered it online, added it to my cart, an hour later in the store it was a higher price! I know there is sometimes minor differences, but that's a third more!

Can 162 mL Tube be used without caulking gun? I need it for a narrow space where the caulking gun too long to work with.

All of DAP's various sized "squeeze tubes" should only require moderate hand squeezing action for application and does not require the use of a caulk gun.
