Rated 5 out of 5 by from DAP 3.8L Gray Bondex Concrete Patch Unfortunatelly last spring we where faced with leaking in the corners of our foundation, no one wants to deal with that kind of problem. A trip to Home Depot with a knowledgable salesman, was what we needed to set us up with this "Gray Bondex concrete patch". This product hardened like the original concrete, when applied on dry clean area it bonded with great strength stopping all leaks and gave a insulated barrier to the cold.It was simple to apply with a brush anyone could do it. I would suggest this product to anyone who has a leaky basement, use this product and get it done right the first time. Thank you F.M.

I have a 5/8-3/4" hole in my foundation all the way to the outside. Can I use this product to fill in that hole?

    Asked by: Kevin
Thank you for positing your inquiry. DAP Ready-Mixed Concrete Patch is not recommended for use in below grade applications or cavity/deep fill applications. For this type of repair, we would recommend the use of DAP QUICK PLUG Hydraulic & Anchoring Cement.

How long does it take to fully cure?

    Asked by: Don E
Thank you for posting your inquiry. For applications depths of < 1/4" we would recommend 24 hours of dry time. Thicker/deeper applications or applications made in cooler and/or more humid conditions will require additional dry time.

Can I use this product to fill pits and gouges (1/2" - 3/4") on a concrete garage floor? Is any special surface preparation recommended before I can paint over the patch?

    Asked by: Ken21
Thank you for posting your inquiry. DAP Ready Mixed Concrete Patch can be used for the repair of minor holes, cracks and other imperfections in concrete or masonry surfaces, such as floors, porches, sidewalks etc. If area to be patched is deeper than 1/2 inch, apply patch in 1/4-inch layers, maximum depth 1 inch, allowing each application to dry. Patched areas may be painted with a quality latex paint after 2 to 4 hours or alkyd paint after 24 hours if desired. Aside from ensuring a clean, fully dry surface, no other special surface preparation is required prior to painting (unless otherwise specified by your paint manufacturer).

Providing that the surfaces are clean, dry and sound (all loose material removed), Ready-Mixed Concrete Patch can be used to patch small cracks and breaks, or spot level concrete and masonry surfaces such as basement walls, patios, steps, sidewalks and driveways.

What is the best product to use to repair garage cement that the surface has broken up around where the overhead door meets the floor?

    Asked by: Anonymous
DAP Concrete Patch can be used to minor cosmetic concrete repairs. More extensive repairs typically require dry mix portland cement based patching compounds as well as bonding additives.
