While this does the job for small screw holes, the patch that comes with it is WAY too thick, I applied so many layers to try and smooth it down and it still shows. And the sandpaper they give you is so small it's not enough to make it look seamless, you need a sanding block. Unless your hole is really small, one coat is not gonna do it and you need to sand it a few times. I did like the actual spackle though, it was smooth and easy to blend, just wish the other products in the kit was just as good. Now I need to go buy a thinner patch to fix my wall...

You must therefore choose between leaving a mound of spackling protruding from the wall to cover the patch or having a completely visible patch. I am 100% dissatisfied with this kit. The spackling itself is fine, but the patching kit is a waste of both my time and my money. Back to the drawing board I go...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good kit, wall patch not so much Great kit. Easy to use and the putty blended in with my cream walls. Was very useful for small nicks & paint damage. Comes with everything needed to do minor repairs. The wall patch is a different story and I am not sure how to blend in. It is thick and while adding strength, it adds to the wall and looks like a bump. Had to use a guard plate on top.

will this cover a double electrical box?

If it were me doing it I wouldn’t use a patch kit. I’d cut a piece of drywall a little smaller than the hole, then tape, mud, and sand. But if you were set on using this patch kit, I would check the size of the mesh patch that comes with to be sure it’s bigger than ur opening. If it isn’t, you can buy the mesh on its own. Doing it this way will create an unsupported weak spot in your wall that might need to be fixed again next time someone falls into that part of the wall or something… def not the ideal solution

How many holes can this kit patch?

Thank you for posting your inquiry. The patch contained in the kit is typically used as provided, however, it can be cut to a smaller size if desired. The 237mL tub of DryDex Spackling contained in the kit could potentially be used to fill dozens of nail/screw holes and or minor dents/dings/cracks.
