Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dekorator Pioneer decking in Fieldstone Grey. This was bought online without actually holding a piece. Colour was a nice grey but I was surprised it had a touch of purple. I like it but you should view it in person to ensure you do too. Delivery time was first quoted as two weeks but this later changed to three. Not a big problem until realized I was 3 boards short and had to wait another 3 weeks before I could finish the install. I suggest buying extra and returning the unused pieces. Cross Cutting and installing the deck surface went smoothly and quickly until I had to rip boards for cutouts and edges. This stuff behaves like plastic, melting and chipping. The melted bits don’t flow like sawdust and clog up the saw. The chips come off hot and melted and will stick to your skin and clothes. While this is a nuisance, it did not affect the look and fit of the boards. Traction is great both dry and wet and I expect the same with snow. We have had some hot days lately but I have had no issues with walking on it in bare feet. I attribute that to the light colour, a darker colour may be different. All in all, a great product and I am very happy with the look, feel and performance of the product.

I would like to use this on the surface of a dock. How slippery is this product when wet. This product will be in direct sunlight. will it be an issue to walk on in bare feet?

This makes it a great choice for around water. On a hot, sunny day composite decking, regardless of brand, may retain heat and feel hot to the touch. This is similar to most other outdoor surfaces, such as concrete, wood decking, or beach sand. On such days individuals are encouraged to cool surfaces with water or wear appropriate footwear.
