Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Very disappointed. We purchased this wood stain back in October to give our deck the protection it needed before winter. We did an extra coat to make sure we wouldn’t need to redo it for we thought another 2 years at LEAST . The can does state “ guaranteed 5 years on decks”! Well it’s 8 months later and it looks awful. Redoing a deck takes a lot of time and resources. Don’t waste your time and money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for patio furniture I build custom patio furniture, and this stain was exactly what my customer wanted for his picnic tables. It went on smooth by using a trim roller and a brush to cut in the corners. My only complaint is that we had to do 2 coats to getbit to cover

I am using this product for the wood siding on the gables of my shed. It is fine. Can i use it on the vinyl trimwork in other areas? They are all vertical surfaces. I am testing adhesion on a small sample. Not great, maybe need more curing time, still fre

Unfortunately, we do not recommend the Solid Color Waterproofing Stain and Sealer on vinyl. Instead, you can use exterior paints like Premium Plus or Ultra.

instructions for 2 part epoxy application

    Asked by: Anonymous
For complete instructions please contact Behr. I have attached the preparation directions for Behr's 2-Part Epoxy. PREPARATION* (The following steps are recommended for best results.) For New or Uncoated Concrete • New concrete must cure for a minimum of 30 days. • The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, curing agents and all other contaminants. • For proper penetration and adhesion of topcoat, use BEHR® NO. K-109924 CONCRETE CLEANER & ETCHER (included in kit). Wear protective clothing, eye goggles and acid resistant rubber gloves and footwear. Dissolve all concentrated powder with 1 gallon (4 litres) of warm water in a plastic container and stir. Pre-wet the surface with water. Apply all solution using a plastic watering can. One gallon of dissolved solution will etch and clean approximately 200-250 sq. ft. (19-23 m2). Allow product to stand for 10 minutes, then scrub vigorously using a stiff plastic brush. • Rinse surface thoroughly using a garden hose with the nozzle set in a stream pattern or pressure wash for best results. Allow the surface to dry completely. For Previously Coated Concrete (Oil or Water Base Finishes) • Previously painted concrete may be repainted only if it has excellent adhesion to the floor. • Remove any loose or peeling paint by sanding (medium grit paper) or wire brushing the surface. To completely remove all existing coating, use BEHR NO. 992 CONCRETE & MASONRY PAINT STRIPPER. • Dull glossy surfaces by scuff-sanding or using a chemical deglosser. • The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil or other contaminants. Use BEHR® NO. K-109924 CONCRETE CLEANER & ETCHER to clean the surface. Follow all label instructions. • Rinse surface thoroughly using a garden hose with the nozzle set in a stream pattern. Allow the surface to dry completely. Important : • Excess residue may interfere with the adhesion of the BEHR® PREMIUM 2-PART EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR COATING. Wipe your fingers over the clean floor to check for dust or powder. If residue is visible on your fingers, repeat the rinsing step. Remove excess water with a squeegee or mop. • Remove any remaining oil or grease spots on your concrete using BEHR® NO. 990 CONCRETE & MASONRY CLEANER/DEGREASER. Follow all label instructions. • Note: The floor must be thoroughly cleaned, completely rinsed and dry for the coating to adhere properly to the surface.

What product should I use to paint the wood floor in an enclosed car trailer that will be durable and non-slip?

    Asked by: Anonymous
It would be best to use a coating recommended that is tire resistant and can be applied to wood floors. Unfortunately, Behr does not have this type of product at this time.

what paint coatings are reccomended for basement floors?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Basement floors can be coated with Behr 1-Part or 2-Part Epoxy, Behr Porch and Floor Paint, or Behr Semi-Transparent or Solid Color Concrete Stain. I would strongly recommend that the surface be checked for hydrostatic pressure and prepared according to label instructions prior to applying the paint. I should also mention that except for the 2-Part Epoxy, all bare concrete should be primed with Behr No. 800 prior to applying any of these products.

What is coverage for Behr 2-part epoxy coating?

My concrete garage floor has some spots with serious surface roughness from road salt and some cracks. What do you recommend for patching the cracks?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Applying an even coat using a 3/8” nap roller cover at a spread rate will give you about 200-250 sq. ft. per gallon. The surface imperfections must be patched, but before patching the cracks, clean and etch the concrete. Use patching materials that contain polymer additives or blended cements. Patching materials that contain these things often stick much better to older concrete. If you see the words "acrylic", "vinyl", or "gypsum cement" on the label, chances are you are in good shape. You can also use liquid additives. Some of these additives are mixed with the patching compound, while others are applied to the surface to be patched. 100 percent epoxy patching compounds are also available. If the patching material they use contains cement, they should allow at least 30 days for curing, then acid etch to reduce alkalinity before applying the 1-Part Epoxy Paint.
