The plugs and manual power on switches work as they should. They have a rubber cover for the outlets when not being used. The reason for the 1-Star review is the fact it never connected to the Wi-Fi. Downloaded the HUBSPACE App, plugged in the SMART outdoor plug (both LED's blink orange), scanned the QR Code, pressed the + in the App to add a device, and the device never connected. Confirmed I had my Wi-Fi set to 2.4, confirmed BT was On, and made sure there were no Wi-Fi issues. The instructions don't provide any help wit connecting the device to Wi-Fi.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this item as something to help control holiday lights and other outdoor needs but seems to be a middle of the road product. On the plus sides it was relatively easy to setup, has space for two plugs and a hook so you could hang it on a nail. On the downside I found the plug covers too floppy for securing an easy/tight seal, the orientation of the plugs would make it difficult to hang the unit with some end device plug types and the app to use is a bit frustrating/requires excessive permissions.

This one, because of its ability to be programmed through the app is my current favorite. No, my real favorite is an analogue timer that has a rotating wheel with 52 little tabs that you push down or bring up according to the time you want your lights lit. I have 5 strings of lights to power but this has only two outlets. No Problem.I plug in two. lines with three splitter outlets. All my lights are LEDs and they don't draw much power. The true test is whether I can remember how to program it next year after I put it away for 11 months.

The plugs can be toggled off & on individually and there is an indicator light over each plug so you know when they are turned on (or off). Each plug can even be set to it's own schedule which I think is an amazing bonus. Works great for our pond lights currently but cannot wait to use it for Halloween and Christmas decorating.

This smart plug seems well made and was easy to place and set up. I did NOT place these smart plugs in a wet location per the instructions. I downloaded the Hubspace app and then added each plug within the app. The set instructions were simple to follow. I really like that I am able to turn my lights on and off via the Hubspace app. Overall, I am happy with the functionality of these smart plugs and the app.

Spent 2 hours between troubleshooting myself, on the phone with ISP, and actually called hubspace support. The product turns on and off fine with the buttons but will not find my network no matter what I do or how close I am to the router. Kind of worthless and I will be returning to the store. All of my other devices (roku sticks, cellphone, smarttv, etc) are connected to the 2.4ghz network so that isn't the issue.

All 1 star Reviews here and on Google Play, developers excuse for 6 months "there is a bug with the phones". Horse hockey, the bug is with the Hubspace app. Modern networks e.g., wifi5, wifi6, use dual band, tri-band, or mesh networks, they don't "publish" a dedicated 2.4 or 5 band network. Hubspace does not see those networks so you cannot connect the device. The plug hardware is good, but the software is horrible.

It can take nearly 10 seconds for a response from the unit. This is pretty poor compared to competitors. What times are others seeing.

Due to logistics, I have 2 mechanical outdoor timers controlling lights on left & right side of my house. They are never in sync. Can 2 of these replace the 2 timers but have one control point? Can Alexa or the App manage both units with 1 command?
