If your family is like ours, electronics accumulate like crazy and $20-30 apiece for dozens of surge protectors adds up fast. These are great to keep handy for when you need one. Small and light, will hold you till you get a more expensive one with better protection if you need for your big ticket items. Also features an led to let you know they are turned on, which is a big plus, and angled plug so they don't stick out of the wall. Plug angles down at around 5:00 so works best in lower outlet, but can get by in upper outlet if other item going into lower one is small. These are my favorite budget surge strips...smaller, lighter and more features than similar ones from competitors.

It works okay, but when I plug something in, the plugs don't quite plug all the way in (so a little of the metal still shows). Don't know if this is quite safe or not this way.
