Rated 5 out of 5 by from We managed to figure out how to connect everything, the... We managed to figure out how to connect everything, the Hubspace multi-plug to the app in our phone. At first it was not clear with the instructions, the first task is using the correct app in your smart phone. 'Hubspace' is the one to use. There is one app named 'Defiant' which seems to be for their other products. Make sure to press the button underneath the clear cover for your phone, the multi plug, and the wi-fi all to pair properly. Once five minutes has passed the button must be pressed again in case the first time is unsuccessful. Also, make sure 'location' is turned on in your phone or the pairing will not connect. Once all is connected a schedule by day of the week and time of day can all be set at your choosing. Make sure if you set the 'OFF' time for anything after midnight to select 'A.M.' since the program will not do that automatically like some apps will. Once we figured out all the details we are happy with this product and would recommend it.

Able to set up on/off by time or turn on/off anytime by Hubspace app or by voice. Only drawback is that it has 'timer' in the name which confuses Alexa because it also has timers but this can be easily solved by changing the name of the device. I like it!

It would be nice if the plugs were better protected from water such as rain or moisture from heavy dew or sprinklers. The number of plugs provided is good for decorative lighting etc. I was looking for something to control my outdoor patio lights. I will put some kind of shield around the stake to prevent water or moisture from getting to the outlets.

When I did find out what app to download it was problem after problem. To load your product scan the QR code didn’t work so manually tried,the app wanted 24 characters not on this box. Looked up the sku on Home Depot that didn’t work either waiting until the morning to make the call for assistance.

Very easy setup, connected to my home internet/downloaded the app. No more climbing behind my fountain to turn on the plug. Also great if I am away from home and can’t remember if I turned the fountain off or not. Have used for a couple months so far and working great.

I have my light display timing set up for weekdays and weekends and can shut things down with four taps if weather is a problem. I like things that really make my life easier and this has been one of them!!! I just ordered a third one for my yard.

I have had smart devices before and none worked as seamlessly as this one. We loved it so much we went and bought the Defiant smart plug to power the Christmas tree. No more crawling on the floor to plug / unplug the tree. Wonderful to have one app to rule them all. Using an iPhone SE 2020.

Does it connect easily? My dual band router is tricky to use. So far every 2.4ghz, has been a challenge to set up.

No, it?s a single control. All on or all off. The 2 outlet defiant outdoor plug has 2 independently control outlets and the Commercial Electric surge protector has four independently controlled outlets.

The same thing happened to me. It doesn't matter where I place it. Even when it's physically inside my home. The same unit eventually changes from active to not online and cannot be controlled. I think I'm going to return it as defective.
