Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected, ground wire location not great. My bathroom fans are wired to a relay & central fan so that either bathroom switch can be flipped on and have the fan suck air from both bathrooms. Switches that require a neutral did not work with my system and I even tried some push button types that said they didn't need a neutral, however, they didn't work either. This timer is super easy to install and works as intended. My only suggestion is that you mind the ground wire, it isn't positioned in the back of the timer so it will have to run along the side of it. In my case one of my timers grounded out my lights and tripped the breaker as it touched the hot screw. A little more care on my part would have avoided that issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy replacement After reading the other review, I was sceptical on purchasing this timer. I needed a replacement timer for my bathroom fan which bit the dust after 9 years of constant use. There are plates and knobs for both white and almond trims contained in the package, so there was no need to search the store bins for the colour I needed. Replacement was quick and simple. Everything fit, screws, plate, etc. Took me no time at all to do the job. I'm the hero again! I gave it 4 stars as I've only had it a couple of weeks, - I can't testify as to it's longevity yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality of GE 60 Minute Spring Wound Timer A couple days ago I bought at Home Depot made by GE 15304 SPST 60 Minute Spring Wound Timer. Quality of this product is poor: 1. Both 6-32 holes in the plastic body of the switch for plate screws were not tapped. I had to tap them. 2. Attached in the kit two 6-32 plate screws are too short which makes them useless 3. White dial plate has too shallow cavities for plate screw heads preventing it from flush mounting. I had to drill them deeper to flush mount the dial. Surprisingly almond plate is OK but didn’t match my décor. As an electrician I have all necessary tools to fix such flaws, it just takes more time than anticipated to complete this simple task. I'm sure that average DIY homeowner would have hard time to correctly install your switch. I e-mailed GE with identical opinion about their product. Once GE corrects listed above flaws it is an excellent product for controlling especially small motors such as bathroom fans because it's a dry metallic contact not a semiconductor solid state device.

Does this switch require neutral wire?

Does this switch require neutral wire or can work of a 2-wire single pole setup?
