Far superior to electronic timers that depend on pushing some button so many times. This one will turn on the baseboard heaters at an early hour while hydro is cheap, in our bedroom., on the days when we want it to.

Can I use this timer with the old standard light switch plate, not the big rectangular slot?

This product is only recommended to fit a standard wall plate and easily replaces a standard wall switch.

Is there any problem with using this switch on a 15amp circuit? The timer says that it's 20amps. Is that just the maximum amperage?
