Locks can be re-keyed to fit your existing KW1 keyway. The Powder coated finish will provide years of durability. When used as a replacement lock only a screwdriver is need to make installation a snap.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The long screws came in short!! There are 2 kinds of screws (different lengths) that are used to secure the lock and the handle / knob in place. The problem is that there are only 2 for each length. However, to secure them both (deadbolt + knob), we need 4 in total. Only the longer ones work for us, so we ended up visiting store again for buying 2 additional long screws to secure the bottom knob. So inconvenient and a waste of time!! Raise the price if you must but include 4 of each length!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Door handle We purchased 3 sets. Nice looking handle set. However, the dead bolt locks continually rattle when opening the door. Also, one set jammed and the lock latch was stuck. We had to take the unit out and reinstall. The latches continually stick and we have to click the handle up and down to release.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage due to design flaw (admitted by agent) Garbage. Bought one and the handle to open the door (inside and outside) does not engage the internal latch. Have been locked in and out of my house so many times. Called the help line, and exchanged for a new one. Same issue with new one; called help line who told me it’s a design flaw and they have numerous people complaining about it, but have not rectified it yet. Will never buy a defiant product again.

Was very inconvenient and had to reinstall our old handle until we could go back to the store to exchange ours. The second one we had works great - holding up well and no defects. Looks sharp on our door and is a great price.

I have a Defiant entry door single cylinder handset installed but not in good condition due to wear. Is this covered by lifetime guarantee as mentioned on the product description? How does it work?

From center of bore hole (for Knob & grip) to center of screw hole (for bottom of grip) is 8 5/8 inches. From the top of the grip to the bottom of the grip is approximately 12 inches. If you are trying to replace a handleset that is currently on your door the critical measurement is the center of bore hole to center of screw hole.
