The tap spout is so weak that it can be bent with your bare hands, and will wear through completely after about a year. The plastic handles have neoprene plastic inserts, which would be great, but they cannot be found anywhere on earth. Well, I could not find them at least, maybe you will have better luck.

Does the mounting bracket need mounting to a stud behind the drywall, as I don't have that available as the tub is fastened to them at the outer edges? Would I need to run a piece of 1x2 under the tub lip to attach the wider flange I see in the picture?

I am pretty sure that the answer is yes. A stud or something solid. Mine went up against a small slab of wood that I has hiltied directly to a concrete basement wall. I would guess the supply line should be strapped to something solid as well. I can send a photo if useful but not the same application it seems.

Can this be mounted on a laundry tub sink?

I bought this faucet last year and Home Depot asked me to respond to your question. I'm not a plumber but I don't see how this faucet could be mounted on a laundry tub sink. Depending on where your water pipes are positioned, you likely could put it just above the sink. A plumber installed my faucet and it sits approx. 5" above the sink. I'd send you a picture of how my faucet is installed but I can't figure out how to do that.

Hi Bob, I have the same 30+ year-old one I had been changing the washer every week for years. Not much has changed. Jut bought the new one, looks the same just shinier. The washer is 1/2" OD or 1/4 S, Plumbshop PS2310 PEF or equivalent. Check-out the "Delta 2137 instructions" it has all the part numbers on page four. This is the bottom of the line for delta I didn't even find it on their fancy website.

What is the centre spacing between the two pipes?

Here is a link and some information to the specifications of the faucet. http://www.waltecfaucets.ca/PDF/WSP-K-29W813.pdf SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS: • Two handle laundry tray for exposed mounting. • 8.57cm (3-3/8") inlet line centres and • 17.8 cm (7") swing spout with removable 1.9 cm (3/4") NHC hose adapter to reveal a standard aerator thread. • Valve mechanisms shall be of the rotating compression type. • Hot and cold cartridges are replaceable. • Cold side stem will rotate counter clockwise (utilizes Brass stem structure). • All operating parts are replaceable from the installed position. • Valves are outfitted with chrome-plated brass renewable seats. • All exposed surfaces are natural, mill finished brass.
