I had a pancake compressor that worked just fine, but it was extremely loud. I read the specifications on this one and saw the decimal ratings were better on this dewalt compressor. It’s a lot quieter than my last one. I also love that I can accurately regulate the pressure on this compressor because the knob is labeled 20,30,40,50,etc. so I can set it where I want it. Overall, I would highly recommend this compressor to anyone that is looking for a new one. It’s perfect for around the shop to air up truck tires, run nail guns, or anything that requires a compressor. I have no complaints!

Can this air compressor be used for pressure pots to do resin casting? Is so are there any parameters that the pressure pot must meet (ie)measurements

I am looking for an air compressor so I can hook it up to a pressure pot to do resin castings so I can do resin turning on a lathe. I need it to hook up to the pressure pot so I can get the air out of the resin.

when connecting the gun it won't shoot put the nails. there's no pressure coming out of the gun. anyone ran into this problem

Asked by: edwin
Most of the time it’s the nail gun that causes the problem. Connect a different nozzle like a blow gun and see if that works. Also check for kinks in the air hose.

1. How long does it take to fill the tank from empty (0 PSI) to completely full (165 PSI) when the compressor shuts off? 2. What are the sub-model numbers for all the different shroud designs I see online (ie., standard 2-guage and regulator valve out front, 1-guage with a regulator valve in place of the 2nd guage, and a shroud that includes 2 guages, the pressure release valve, the regulator valve, and 2 connector ports)? Where can I find the latter design? 3. Do they have locking regulator valves?
Asked by: Robert
The tank fills very quickly, about 2-3 minutes. I bought my compressor at Home Depot off the shelf and it came with two gages, one for tank pressure and one for supply, two connector ports and the pressure relief valve. The pressure adjustment is conveniently located by the gages. The Model number is: DWFP55126.
