Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than Arrow brand staplers For years I have used the large chrome Arrow brand hand staplers and yellow slap hammmer staplers, shooting the T-50 staples. I am in the construction trades, so my tools get heavy use. The Arrows' staplers consistantly get jammed up, the cotter pins and holding circlips eventually loosen up and fall out, and the spring loaded staple pusher can bounce out of your hands and off the scaffold into the bushes. Well, the dewalt gun has none of these problems, so it's a great step in the right direction. It feels heavy duty, you can't lose the staple spring loader, and it consistantly fires. And the price is comparable. My Arrow staple guns just went to metal recylcing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Staple Gun i used this staple gun to install a vapor barrier in the crawl space of a homeowner and used it to staple screens onto attic windows. i really like this staple gun, it is much easier to squeeze then the old staple guns. also for me the belt clip was a huge win, when i was up in attics or in crawl spaces i need both hands and being able to clip this to my belt and move around was key. i have also put over 500,000 staples through this gun and no jams. my only knock on this is when overhead stapling the bar that locks the handle down, locks down and after every staple you have to reset it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Well Built I purchased this to replace a B&D Power Shot that had went missing. After reading the reviews, I chose this one. It works well and is built well. I did experience an occasional problem on not shooting a staple. It is still good value for the money. I only give it a four star rating as I still needed to finish driving the staples with a hammer. I was stapling upholstery onto 1/2" plywood using the recommended 3/8" T50 staples. My Arrow T25 used to staple coax cable works great. I recommend it for anyone needing to install RG-11 coax TV cable. This DeWalt stapler works good for its intended home use. For Pro use I would recommend an air stapler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Very Impressed! I'm installing luan on a ceiling in a rental house. I have no electric turned on and I need the luan up now. I purchased this DeWalt stapler today with exspecting to return it. To my surprise this is a great addition to my tool collection. For a manual stapler it has a punch! I'm using both Staples and Brad's and both have exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this DeWalt tool for anyone that needs it. Also, I am a woman and this fits comfortable in my hand and squeezing the trigger does not hurt my hand or arm and I have used 2 boxes of Brad's already and only half way finished. my hands do not hurt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Haven't been this excited by a tool for a long time I know this is just a stapler, but man, this is not just a stapler. I needed one for a chair upholstery project and the one I got from the upholstery store didn't work too well. 1 in 10 staples would go straight down into the wood. So, I went and got this one to try out. One staple in and I was hooked. Tried more staples, and they all went in perfectly. Seems very, very powerful, and does not need electricity or compressed air. I now want to staple something even though there is nothing that needs stapling around the house right now. Construction of this stapler is very solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TERRIFIC ! I had bought 2 other brand models just before this. They both seemed to jam up after a dozen shots. I searched for an hour on the web to find reviews and feedback on staple guns and the best reference I found was this site, whereby feedback was provided by 7 respondents, and ALL 7 were very positive. Of course I had to see for myself - and I was pleasantly surprised. This gun works flawlessly. I've shot several hundred staples and with every pull I say to myself "is this going to be the shot that jams?". But guess what? Each shot was PERFECT. My satisfaction with this tool has significantly increased my faith in the Home Depot review system, as well as DeWalt products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Investment I got this tackler, because I have been working with half inch backboards for cabinets & several wood projects (doll houses, cubby storage furniture). Got tired of nailing with a hammer, so I decided to give this tool a try, because of the steel brands option. I had used a stapler before & liked it, but I had not seen one that used steel brands. Well, I love this tool. I have used both staples & the steel brands equally on cabinet finishes & shelves. This tool has worked wonders for me. I wished that I hadn’t waited so long on getting it. I wished that it could accept longer brands beside the 1/2 & 5/8 that are allowable, but not a big deal. I also like its sturdy design. Everyone should have one of these in their tool arsenal.

Its basically a very think film paper attached to 2x4 trusses. The stapler jams, misfires, jams again. Then one good one comes out for every ten bad ones. It is the worst piece of junk and a waste of money. There is enough history of bad reviews that dewalt should be ashamed to be still leaving this product on the shelf. They know this stapler is junk yet the still sell it to customers. It is very difficult to move around an attic and hang insulation. This stapler will cause nothing but headaches. Shame on you Dewalt and you have lost a customer for life.

ad says it comes with a lightweight case however there is not a picture of it in the ad.does it come with a case.

Asked by: Ramona
Not a carrying case. That is referring to what you might call the body of the stapler. Being made of aluminum, the stapler is relatively light weight.

can i use it on wood

Asked by: Sonia
Yes, especially if attaching things such as light strings, etc. If trying to join two pieces of wood together make sure you buy staples of the correct length

Can I use this staple gun to stable cable wire along the sheetrock wall?
Asked by: Brandons007
No, the staples may compress or break the insulation leading to shorts or wire failure. A gun using round head staples should be used for wiring. Mike

Watch this video- Pinch release at back of stapler and slide the slide back With front of stapler to left and bottom facing you, put in a strip of brads (break off the ones that would make it too long if necessary) Set them in, push slide back in place Also-when slide is out there are stamped directions on it but they are kinda hard to see. Google, read the directions, I got this video in a 3 second search. https://youtu.be/BReT7W8K23s

Will it work to put plastic on windows

Asked by: Cindyloowho
If the plastic is thin wrap type plastic, this would work well. When you want to take it off you'll be stuck with a job of removing Staples by hand with a pliers and it will leave holes in your window frames. Not good. You would be better off buying double-faced tape made for this and remove the tape residue in Spring. Some window wrap kits come with the tape. If you are applying rigid plastic sheets, this stapler will not penetrate the plastic without cracking it.

It seems to me that it will not be possible with this nail gun because it is big for that job but you can try. I hope it turns out well for you.
