Rated 1 out of 5 by from Recharge batteries 3 times to finish my yard The lawnmower itself works as expected and I like that it folds up and has convenient carrying handles for transport. At this price, it should come with bigger batteries though - I have a fairly big mowing area in my yard at about 70' X 80', and it takes me all day because I need to throw the batteries back on the charger 2-3 times to get it done. On top of that, the only batteries that are available in higher capacities are the 20V/60V "Flexvolt" batteries that cost twice as much per amp hour compared to the 20V. If Dewalt sends some batteries to me that will last longer than 10 minutes then it will be worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little mower I have over an acre of property so I do a majority of my cutting with a riding lawn mower, however I still use a push mower for the Dutch and about 1/4 of an acre of property that a riding lawn mower can't get to. I have several DeWalt tools so I used 2x 5 amp batteries I had and was able to cut the lawn with 1 bar on each battery left. I used the batteries that the mower came with the second time and wasn't able to get the same results. So I am not sure if the batteries have in a break in period as both times I used the same amp hour batteries. 3rd time I used 2 of my 60v batteries and had 2 bars left. Mower is easy to store, lighter than my old gas push mower and can be folded up and stored on its end. The metal deck is a bonus as well.

People obviously buy it because we are invested in the Dewalt 20v line and have many other tools. Problem with this is it is simply under-powered and has horrible run time. You will need to buy another set of 5ah batteries. In fact there are times on my lawn when I need six batteries to complete the front and back. I do have a larger 1950's size lot, but still. Dewalt knew this about the mower but just did not care. Go with the EGO.....I really wish I did. Better yet, I have my dewalt for sale at half off if anyone is interest so I can buy the EGO.

I agree with other reviews that you should get the flex volt batteries ... the ones that come with just barely get my lawn done. That said, if you compare the total all-in price with other mower brands - it’s about the same but with better footprint, better feel and build quality. Height adjust feature is great and the noise level also. One thing to consider is your other garden tools as you’re buying into a battery/charging system - found the matching blower and trimmer to be excellent. Highly recommended!!!!

Just purchased this Morning, May 5/2018. Out of the Box, on two fully charged DCB205 5ah 20v batteries, I was able to get 10 Mins of run-time on moderate length Grass. I have a Small area of Grass to cut, and had to rely on 2 extra DCB205's to get 20 mins of Run-time. Maybe 2 Flexvolt batteries would perform better?! Im wondering if someone from Dewalt is monitoring these comment sections. I see very little positive feedback here. I will say this... The mower is VERY easy to use... it is light, rolls very well and when the batteries have power, seems to cut with ease. Battery Life is VERY disappointing.

I chose this ones because all my power tools are Dewalt and I have been very pleased with the performance, however I used the lawn mower for the first time today and I am very disappointed. I followed the instructions to charge the batteries to make sure I got the best bower possible. After mowing half of my lawn which is 26' by 20' the batteries died. I am very disappointed. I love this brand in general but I would not recommend buying this product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jury's still out I bought the mower last sunday. It says capable of mowing 1/4 acre (=10,890 sqft) in a single charge. My lawn is 3800 sqft. Fully charged battery was depleted after mowing half of my lawn. The next day, I mowed again with fully charged battery. Finished mowing, with 1 bar of battery left. So, charged battery only capable for mowing 2,000 sqft, which is only a fifth of what they claimed. Did I get bad battery packs, or is it false advertising? The advertising also note up to 75 minutes run time per battery. So, total is 150 minutes. Mine only lasted 30 minutes. But when it run, it was good.

I dont cut when the gras is wet and i cut often enough that it doesn't get to long, also I move fairly fast. These negative reviews about battery life had me expecting the worst but after cutting my front and back yard gras the battery just moved from 2/3 LED's to 1/3. I have lots of flexvolt batteries and was expecting i'd have to use them because the batteries that come with are only 20v 5ah. I was really suprised that even those could power me thru, couldn't be happier with this mower. Also i price matched and got it for a amazing price. Thx DEWALT, now u gotta make me a flexvolt snow blower.

Mower wont start makes an urg sound like it wont kick over. Batteries fully charged, blades free to turn manually, fuse saftey key inserted properly. Anyone know why?
