Cordless Pruning Chainsaw has a high-efficiency brushless motor designed to maximize runtime and motor life with up to 70 cuts per charge, using a DCB230 battery and tested on 4"x4" Pressure-Treated Pine. Weighing just 4.6 lbs (tool only), the Pruning Chainsaw is 61% lighter and 3x more compact, when compared to the DCCS620 chainsaw (tool only), designed to reduce fatigue while cutting, trimming and pruning. Use it to trim branches from downed trees, cut bundles of wood or branches, and manage thick brush or daily pruning needs. Compact design allows for easy access to tight spaces. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good little saw A must have on the farm now! So many things that a chainsaw is just too much overkill for and this really works! I had batteries from other Dewalt products I own and like the ability to just use what I have on hand. Powerful little saw! The guard is good to have when using close to the ground to not dull the chain. Saw that some take it off. I like it on. Not overly heavy - so good for me to use for long periods of time. I'm going on 70 years old now and don't need to lug a full sized chainsaw around anymore when this does what I need

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for light duty use. OK value. Well balanced and easy to use. The safety lock button for the on-off switch is awkward to use but may be designed that way to force the user to hold the saw with both hands which I recommend! The position of the safety button also forces the user to place their left hand inside the kickback protection, also a good idea. Better instructions would help users understand how to safely use the saw. Power is adequate. Battery life is adequate with a 5 AH battery. Chain/bar lubrication system needs to be improved. It either provides too much or too little oil. The oil outlet easily plugs with sawdust and the chain runs dry. The assembly quality of DeWalt tools has declined. Right out of the box the switch and safety lock were stiff and would not work at times. I opened the case and there was no lubrication on either. A little grease on each made the saw easier, and safer, to use. Also, the chain idler at the tip of the bar has no way to lubricate it. An oil or grease hole would make the bar last much longer! Overall it is an adequate saw for light duty use.

Open the truck 2 days after and oil has leaked EVERYWHERE complete mess. The oil cap is good. It's leaking from somewhere else and now the 90 days for return to my local store is past.

I was trimming branches one handed so that some workers could get access to an area, and they were so impressed with it that they went out and bought one for themselves. Fits the smaller or larger batteries. Nice tool. Going to be using it lots.

It does take some getting used to at the start and does start off being a bit heavy but you get used to it in no time. Only thing I wish is that we had bought sooner
