The long nozzle shape allows for more specific removal. The battery size is the same as the larger blower which we also own so there was no need to to buy a battery charging system. Blowing ability was not compromised by the smaller size.

The battery wasn't a problem for me, since I've got a number of other compatible Dewalt tools (that was one of the reasons that I ordered it), but it certainly would be an issue for someone expecting a complete package. The lack of a battery keeps it from being 5 stars. It is smaller than I expected. This is actually a good thing. My whole intent was to attach a paint roller to it and use it as a toilet paper gun. With the smaller size, it fits much more easily in to a gear bag. Now, when my co-worker shoots nerf darts at me, I can fire back with something much more profound. I haven't tried it on leaves or snow yet, or to inflate or deflate an air mattress, but it seems like it would be more than capable to do that as well.

Negatives are: 1) Very loud if you run it at high speed, 2) It is better for a left-handed person. For a right handed person the blower grabs your pants, 3) The end of the rubber nozzle can mark some surfaces with a black steak. Bottom line: I like it and the tradespeople like it for clearing the job site.

It's got 3 speeds which is great if you have a light job and want to save the battery on a lower speed. The de-flator attachment is a nice extra even though I will probably never need to use it. Definitely worth the money especially if you can get it on sale.

Im sure it will be use year around here. Its very light and handles well plus has 3 speeds you can choose from. I cant commend on the life of the battery yet but im sure it will last a decent time for use.
