Rated 5 out of 5 by aaronb80 from loving it love my new drills. i have used them every single day since i recieved them, approx month and a half or so ago. battery life last forever. impact driver is a beast. drilver works well. wish it was a little bit lighter but its all good. ive dropped the driver twice from 5-6 feet high and watched as drill bounced across floor. no damage thank god. i removed the belt hooks since i dont wear a belt or jeans for that matter. bit holder is just okay. a little bit too tight of a fit but its all good. i also used the driver with a small paddle to mix up some drywall mud. worked no problem. drilled out some 1.5" holes with no problem aswelll. today i drilled through many 2x4's with 5/8 spade bit with no issues either. also the batteries charge super quick.

I've been able to use it to install heavy duty deadbolt screws and lag bolts for garage shelving. The only bad thing was one of the batteries was defective out of the box. It couldn't be charged. I contacted Dewalt and they sent a replacement at no charge which works perfectly. Good products and support, but minus one for a bad battery.

I was skeptical at first because of my original cordless tools that would last a summer, then I had to throw them out. These are lightweight, compact, and powerful. I built a garage this past summer and used these to finish the inside and boy was I amazed at how long these batteries last. I put up a 32x48 garage and put osb on the inside, and these drills did the whole job on 2 batteries. Unbelievable! Very happy with these and I would recommend these to anyone. They have come a long way on the technology since 2006 when I gave up on cordless products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by johnm from eggbrook's review is flawed, the charger does work i had the same problem as eggbrook, the charger would stay solid red when i put a dead battery in for charging. i even called dewalt customer service and they didn't know the reason. here's the deal: you need to push the batteries down onto the charger till you hear it click in, then the charge light will start to blink and it'll start to charge. if you just rest the battery on the charger till it makes initial contact the charge light will stay solid red and the batteries will not charge. other than that, i think it's a great set of tools.
