Rated 5 out of 5 by from 23-Gauge Dewalt Pin Nailer Works great. Be sure the tip is perpendicular to the piece you are pin nailing--I found if off angle (which I was forced to do for the work I was doing) the pin will protrude, even when using max recommended pressure. Have a nail punch handy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent nailer value when using a $25 coupon. This 23 gauge pin nailer works great right out of the box. My imported pancake compressor is set to 90 PSI I tested it using the 1" included pins using scrap lumber. Plywood, 2x4 thickness and a scrap of really hard (unknown wood). So far its performance is great. The nailer did not jam once during use. Attention. The photos take with my cellphone are magnified 1X and 3X zoom. The 7 year warranty is excellent. My opinion. I personally would prefer an all metal nose cover design if possible to access the depth adjustment dial and potential jams. Part # 8 nose cover is plastic. Part # 11 pinch lever is metal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crap Brand new out of the box, put in 1-3/16" grex nails & it couldn't even sink the first 3 nails into a pc of pine 5/8" thick on plywood! Gone are the days of quality tools... I would've spent more for a better gun. I guess I'll just have to search for an old Capex somewhere (even their new ones are trash)

It uses headless pin nails. Most pin nails are marked with an arrow or something similar so they are not inserted upside down.

Asked by: burnum
Low Pin Lock Out The nailer is equipped with a low pin lock out which prevents the tool from actuating when the magazine is nearly empty. When approximately 10 to 12 pins remain in the magazine, the tool ceases to operate. (per manual)

Can this pin nailer be use with a 3/8 dia hose instead of 1/4 dia hose? Thanks

Asked by: Bigbob
Know the tools maximum PSI to avoid damaging the air nailer. Be sure to have an easy to read, functioning air pressure regulator. My air hose is rated maximum 300 PSI That is almost double the maximum PSI produced by my air compressor. The nailer works great with an in line water separator on the air hose close to the air compressor.

this gun is for fine pinning, and thus should have fine control. I want a THIN air hose, 1/4 inch, with ends that are NOT BULKY, to allow easier control of the gun. I just want a 3 to 6 foot section of 1/4 inch air hose, with basic quick-cnnect ends on it, NOT bulky reinforced anti-bend extensions, etc, which interfere with control of the tool. any ideas are apprecaited
Asked by: nick
Air hose leads are 3 feet long purchase 2 of them. Self coiling hoses make work difficult Hybrid softer PVC hoses easier to use. Roll up any extra hose length you don't need and tie a rope around it.

No. This is a pneumatic pin nailer. It requires an air compressor and hose. Read the full product descriptions and owners manual. Next check the model number before ordering online or purchasing at the retail store.
