Rated 2 out of 5 by from i used about half a blade and it's now useless worked great until the day i wanted to change blade. i want able to put it back together. i searched for the user manual online and cannot find this model. i chose it simply by its price. i thought, let's buy the most expensive they had back then. at the rate that i use knives, i was hoping to never have to think about it again. don't buy this model DWHT10250

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea, mediocre implementation This knife works well if you're not going to be cutting anything substantial, but if you're going to use it to apply any sort of force, steer clear of it. It functions best as a fancy box cutter. I went with the 25 mm blade model specifically because we use 25 mm blades for clean dry wall cuts, but I had to return the (broken) knife after a single day of using it. In the future, I'll stick with the fixed single blade model. Pros: - The blade change mechanism works well. - It stores 4 blades, 5 (what it advertises) is a stretch. Cons: - Releases locked blades mid-cut, which can result in injury. The lock is somewhat ineffective and can fail easily. - Locking mechanism can become stuck indefinitely, rendering the knife useless - Frame of knife can bend if pressure is applied for harder cuts, resulting in messy and unpredictable cuts.

How do you snap off the blade????

Asked by: Anonymous
To snap off the blade please use safety precautions first : Insert the tip of the blade into the snapper and hold the snapper etched part of the blade down, securely to the work surface. Lift on the back of the knife, until the blade snaps off. Replace snapper in bottom of knife.
