Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot be serviced in Canada I bought this from Home Depot online, and it was delivered in a timely manner. Nice solid looking lawnmower. However after charging the two batteries I installed them and tried starting it, but all that happened is that the battery indicator flashed red then off. It is defective. After several calls to DeWalt's toll-free number (in the US) I was finally given the number of their Factory Service Centre in Edmonton where I was informed that it cannot be serviced in Canada, and that I should return (not exchange) it to Home Depot. Home Depot should not sell a lawnmower in Canada that cannot be serviced in Canada.

I was so hoping that the battery issues reported here were a rare occurrence and I'd get a good one, but no, the mower arrived, I happily pulled it out and got to mowing. It worked amazingly well for trial run, then I put the batteries back and next day it ran for a couple of minutes and died. One battery shows warning light briefly on charger but otherwise batteries report as fully charged. But the most disappointing aspect was that I reported this issue a day ago and still haven't even received an acknowledgement of issue. My lawn is already overgrown and I live far from a Home Depot, I wish I'd just bought another brand locally.

I flip the mower on end and store it in the garage without having to worry about gas fumes. I will never be going back to gas agin!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty Batteries Bought this lawnmower in spring of 2022 for a small lawn at a trailer. Mower worked fine for most of first summer. Near the end, one of the batteries started being an issue. At the start of the second year, the battery wouldn't hold a charge at all. Took it back to Home Depot who referred me to a warrenty place. After a few weeks, the battery was replaced under warranty. Worked for the rest of 2023. Went to cut the lawn this year and one of the batteries won't hold a charge. Now i have the choice of paying over $300 for a new battery that may only last for a year, or throwing out the mower. Do not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty Battery or charger Just bought it today on June 23 as a belated Father's Day Present. Charged for 2 hours before first use, but the battery only last 15 mins. It is light weight and very efficient. I gave it a try to charge both batteries again. Initial charging light was blinking red (means charging)....The charger showed a solid Red Light (fully charged) after 3 hours. There is a battery indicator on the battery itself. Once pressed, all three LEDs were not on (means no battey). I tried to troubleshoot by plugging it in to my power drill, it has no power at all. Before I return, I'll call Dewalt to find out whether is the battery, or charge issue. Very disappointed for the value I paid. My lawn still undone....sign

So were do I start , first of all don't listen to most of the negative reviews I'm sure there's some lemon mowers and batteries , but overall this mower is pretty amazing , light , clean , and worked flawlessly right out of the box , I cut too city lots mine and my 85 year old Niebour and don't even use one bar on battery , and the cut is really good , you just got to know how to use these lithium batteries and your good to go , no checking Oil , Gas , and the pics I provided is the mower in my 8 x 12 shed , don't be scared pull the trigger , oh ya the price cheaper than the other name brands by a minimum of $ 50.00

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It stopped working Ok so bought one of these, actually ended up buying 2 due to an order mix up. One will be returned. So we used this about 3 times, then on the next cut it wouldn't start. Check the batteries, they were ok. When I go to start I just get a red light flash and nothing else. Since I haven't been able to return the other one yet I decided to try it. I put the same batteries in and it starts. I can't find any troubleshooting guide on dewalts site. If this one cuts out it will be returned and I will look for something different. It's a shame since I have a lot of other dewalt tools that use the same battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very happy with this purchase Easy to assemble and get started. Easy to clean is a huge bonus. I like how I don't need ear protection to mow, and I don't smell like exhaust any more! Only minor thing I don't like is that the cover for the batteries doesn't latch in either the open or closed position. Some dirt gets in there while running, and when changing the batteries in and out you have to hold it open. After charging my batteries the first time, I was able to mow my lawn 3 times (about an hour running time total, only light growth the first two times). One thing to watch is that if you put the battery on the charger but don't click it in all the way, it will blink like it is charging, but won't actually be charging the battery. All in all I am happy with the purchase.

Depending on the age And how much you have used your lawnmower it is possible that your blades need to be sharpened as they are chopping the grass instead of cutting it

Can I use the 60v battery and their 20 v battery together. Are all their batteries interchangeable with this lawnmower

On this lawnmower, you can use a 20v Lithium Ion battery branded by DEWALT or a DEWALT FLEXVOLT battery. You would not use them together. The mower will run on the lowest AH common to the batteries.

Does the two batteries run in series or in parallel? i.e. if they run in series, this would be equivalent to 40 Volts and that would imply a more powerful motor. If they run in parallel, it would mean a longer run time, but with less power.

We bought both the DeWalt and the Riobi battery mowers for my wife who does 75% of lawn cutting while I trim.  The DeWalt she thought was too big and clunky.  She like the smaller one but battery life is terrible.  And I find it tiny.
