Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks better than it is This Dewalt sawhorse looks great at first glance: large hefty surface, nice straps to carry it, locking mechanism so that 2 sawhorses can be stored/carried together, good height for a taller person (I am about 6ft and it is perfect), V grooves for holding pipes and such. However, this product does not live up to the Dewalt name which has other great products (like some of their great drills, table saws, etc.) Some of the problems may have been mentioned by others already. Here's what stands out as deficiencies: 1) Not very stable. There is a slight lateral wobble. 2) Very flimsy plastic hinge to hold legs open. Dewalt makes an effort to make it clear you should not use your foot to push it open, it clearly cannot withstand any weight. if you drop a piece of lumber on it or somehow twist the legs by mistake, I think you can say goodbye to those hinges 3) width of the A base is too narrow, reducing the stability/increasing the chance of tipping, especially since it is fairly high. 4) rubber pads on top for gripping are flimsy. One was damaged and came loose just while I was unpacking it. It would not stay in after that. Another was slightly bent up at the edges and would not flatten, so it would easily get hooked or ripped out when moving plywood or other pieces around on top. 5) very large footprint when folded up for storing, considering the limited stability/ground footprint when opened for use. The storage cavities on each end for the legs is pretty huge. 6) the channels for holding 2x4 lumber to connect to sawhorses together (to create a worktable) is only a couple inches deep. So the 2x4 does not sit flush with the sawhorse surface. This means that your plywood tabletop only rests on the paralel 2x4, no support perpendicularly. Too much weight and it will sag. And, there is a good chance not everyone has perfectly shaped 2x4s so the table will be even less flat. It would be hard to notice these defects if never compared to another better-designed sawhorse. I chose the C550 toughbuilt sawhorse also sold through HomeDepot.ca. Though it has some relative disadvantages (a little short for me, no V grooves, narrower work surface), it has important advantages including: 1) rock-solid stability (no wobble) 2) a wider A base with metal hinges AND little flip-out grippy feet (making each leg a couple inches wider to resist slipping!) 3) small folded footprint 4) full 4-inch groove so that you can make a proper temporary worktable that is supported by a rectangular base. 5) 1100lb capacity (vs Dewalt 1000lb). I know, I know - who is going to put 1000+lbs on each sawhorse? But the toughbuilt really does seem far more robust. If you try them both out, you'll see what I mean. I would only choose the Dewalt if the relative disadvantages I mentioned outweighed the superior stability and design elements of the C550, which could be true for some people. Hope this helps!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior quality and poorly built Here are the Pros and Cons: Pros: Really lightweight for such a bulky sawhorse Cons: At a branch of a store i saw many loose legs of this saw horse with several broken PLASTIC PIVOTING AXLES lying on the shelf. The braces that keep the steel legs open are made of a very weak and bendable plastic (do not put your foot on this or drop any tool here or its going to break.) The plastic ends that connect the top rail with the pivoting steel legs are made of a very thin 1/16" plastic. Need I say more. DEWALT used to be good, but their Engineers goofed on this one. I cannot understand how some Contractors swear by this one as it's not even suitable for home DIY use. Definitely not recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sawhorse What i like most about this saw saw horse is that it can be folded into two compact 3ft pillars with a handle. They take up very little space and they're very portable. The price is very reasonable too. They're a little heavier than a regular aluminum horse though. Or maybe it's just me.
