Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cuts great but don't make it work too hard. I have used these saws before and I have learned that the chain must be kept tighter on these saws than on my gasoline powered saws, otherwise the chain will jump the bar. My recent purchase of a 60V 20 in. seemed to be a good one. however, after bucking up 10 or so 8" to 13" x 16' long logs, the following happened. One 13" dia x 19" piece bound up on the saw causing it to twist and the chain jumped the bar. During the process of re-installing he chain, I discovered that the arm on the chain tensioner had also broken in half. I am still using the saw but tensioning is accomplished by using a screwdriver to pry the bar to the correct tension before tightening the two nuts on the side. Not sure if I will bother repairing it or continue using it as is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 20" battery chain saw Purchased the saw to replace gas chainsaw as well as for quieter use camping. overall performance is better then expected however chain replacement ( one should have a spare ) is proving to be quite difficult. Most options and advise is to drop the bar down to 18" and more chain options. Really beats the purpose and very frustrating to say the least!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defect Product - Chain Tensioning Adjustment Screw I have been a loyal Dewalt user for several decades. All my power tools are Dewalt and I was never disappointed by all my Dewalt purchases. So I did not think twice when I decided to buy this 60V MAX Cordless 20 in. Chainsaw (DCCS677) this past December (2023) as a Christmas present. I used the chainsaw only 3 times on 3 trees in total since December 2023. At the first time when I used it, I noticed the following: - the chainsaw run fine - not as powerful as the gas chainsaws but I knew and expected that; - the chainsaw used so much battery power - my fully charged 9Ah Flex Volt battery was dead after one face cut, one back cut and three bucking cuts on a 12-inch pine tree. Fortunately, we have 6 batteries in hand as a long time Dewalt cordless tool user; - the tension of the chain was loose at the beginning but it was expected - I needed to tighten it after several cuts. However, the chain was loose continuous and needs tightening after every few cuts; and - the chain tensioning adjustment screw made "plastic-like clicking sound" when tightening at the beginning of using the wrench (provided) after hand tight. At the second time when cutting the second tree: - the chain continued coming loose after few cuts - the chain tensioning adjustment screw became not functioning - just making clicking sound whenever at the beginning of wrench tightening, and Today I used it for the third time on the third tree: same frequent loose chain that needed adjustment, but the chain tensioning screw just not functioning and only making clicking sound again. And, one of the bumper spikes was bent during used against tree for the first time - it is supposed to be a "heavy duty" usage tool... For the first time, I am very disappointed with Dewalt with this product. There is something very wrong with the chain loosing tension frequently and the tension adjustment screw mechanism. It is a design or manufacturing defect product. Dewalt needs to fix it or recall the product after so many people reviews with the same tensioning screw issues.
