When i hooked it up oil spit out of the crank case breather. When i drained the oil it had 2 quarts instead of the specified 1 qt. That in itself seem like an rookie mistake but it caused a great deal of stress on my part.

I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and a couple of times I left it with pressure in it and the gauge didn’t drop one bit. It’s as quiet as I thought it would be and runs very smoothly. I haven’t bolted it down yet and it has not moved at all. I wish compresor manufacturers would offer a condenser type water trap and fan to go with these. I gladly would have bought one if available instead of building my own. Overall, I’m very happy with its performance and price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dewalt air ompressor I've had my DEWALT air compressor modle #DXCMLA4708065 for 3 years. I don'r use it as much as most but i wanted a GOOD one so spent the money. about 6 months ago the tool pressor guage went out. NOW the regulator knob doesnt do anything and it runs constantly never shutting off. I spent over a week trying to contact someone at DEWALT for 5 days, on hold for over 30 minutes and NEVER getting an answer. I did finally talked to a lady, I believe her name was Karen, explained everything to her and she told me what i needed to do, while i was driving, so i ask her to send me an email so i knew what needed to be fixed. She sent me a 4 page PARTS LIST and NOTHING about what i needed to replace. I've tried 3 times sice i talked to her and CAN'T get through AGAIN. There is NOT a service center withing 100 miles and they expect me to unhook everything and take it to them. I have ALOT of DEWALT tools but I won't have within a ouople of weeks. Their SERVICE is TERRIBLE!

This unit appears to come with a regulator. However I read in the instruction for this unit: "REGULATOR (sold separately, not shown)" Does it have one or not?
Asked by: ldmack3
The unit does include the regulator. This is the one that regulates the pressure that comes out of the tank. This is located on the control panel on top of the tank. The Regulator that is sold separately is a different type of regulator. It is the inline regulator. This is closer to the air tool and regulates air further from the compressor tank.

what amp circuit breaker

Asked by: ABE
The manual says at least 15 amps though I am running it on a 20 amp 240 breaker. Mine has not tripped the breaker in the 3 years I’ve had it.

Is this asingle stag or 2 stage compressor? Thanks

Asked by: cousy
This 80 gallon DeWalt unit is a single stage compressor. However the three cylinder high flow pump puts out air delivery of 16.1 SCFM @ 40 PSI and 14.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI, giving it performance much like what you would see on a two stage compressor.

Does this have enough CFM to reliably provide air for sandblasting ? (auto frames, etc.)

Does this have enough CFM to reliably provide air for sandblasting ? (auto frames, etc.)
Asked by: Gary
This 80 gallon compressor delivers 14 SCFM @ 90 PSI and 16 SCFM @ 40 PSI. It has a max operating pressure of 155 PSI. You will want to check the SCFM requirements of your sandblaster. Sandblasting is a continuous operation which requires a good constant stream of air to the tool. The larger 80 gallon tank on this unit has a good capacity of air, however if you have more than one user sandblasting you may want to step up to a two-stage unit which has a max pressure of 175 PSI thus more stored energy in the tank.
