The DCG414B 4-1/2-inch - 6-inch (115 mm - 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT's revolutionary FlexVolt technology. The DCG414B comes with the tool only.The FLEXVOLT® 20V/60V MAX* Battery pack changes voltage when you change tools, powering a line of powerful 60V MAX* tools, 120V MAX* tools, and backwards compatible to existing 20V MAX* tools and chargers. The battery pack is smart enough to know when to provide runtime for 20V MAX* tools (6.0Ah) and power in 60V MAX* and 120V MAX* tools.

  1. E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor

I've had this grinder for about two months, it has started acting up a little, the motor doesn't always start right up I sometimes have to spin the blade a little first probably an issue with the brake but it really doesn't bother me much. Aside from that this thing rules. It powers right through everything I put in front of it; cutting concrete, rebar, structural steel and grinding welds are all handled with ease. I didn't think I really needed a cordless grinder but after using it for a while I'll never go back to corded. The added safety on ladders and roofs paired with more dexterity on the ground makes this one of my favorite tools in my truck.

Has anyone used this with the 20 volt batteries? I'm assuming it would last a minute or 2 with a 2 AH 20 V. Could anyone give an accurate estimation on grinding bolts on a 20v 2ah and 4ah battery?

We do not currently offer a run time estimation for our power tools. The tool can be used for several applications, therefore we do not specify run time.
