This is handy for drills without belt clips like the Dcd985 20v hammer drill or even small drivers like the Dcf610 12v the only one that you have to be careful of is the Dcf885 20v impact driver with the 3ah battery because of the balance point. If you stuff it firmly into the holster it stays, but you may want to use the strap if you are walking around a lot. The reason for only 4 stars is the bit holder loops as you can see by the pictures they are open at the bottom and not practical for holding driver bits. There are 6 more on the inside 3 short closed at the bottom and 3 long under the Dewalt logo that again are open? I will sew these closed at the bottom to make them useful. The price at this time is half of what it used to be and below other brands similar product, well worth it.

Is this drill holder also made for left handed people?

I have not seen one but you could put it on the left side of your belt with the drill handle to the front as I did with my Dcf610 screw gun belt clip (on the right side) so I could use the rubber side bumpers of the drill when lifting drywall sheets to the ceiling. Now that I have the holster that is not an issue. Your question was submitted a long time ago but if you have not purchased one yet the price has dropped a lot (1/2).

Will a DeWalt cordless screwgun fit in this holster?

Yes any Drill from large 1/2 inch hammer drill without side handle to small driver drills will fit. Auto feeder screw attachments may not fit. The opening at the bottom is 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" max.
