why do these not fit on dws779? just bought new dewalt saw and these fit my old ridgid perfectly, the holes on the 779 are way too big and not threaded.. best answer I can get is to either drill holes on a brand new saw, or buy additional hardware which is ridiculous for a part by the same manufacturer. Very unsatisfied so far with this purchase, was it too much money or too hard to QC to make sure your accessories are compatible with the saws you are selling? Both purchases are within the year.
Asked by: Wireman
I also have a 779, but the stops fit perfectly on mine right out of the box, with no modifications. I wonder if your saw table was not tapped by mistake?

will this crown stop cut a crown molding with height of 5 1/2" projection of 3 7/8", and face of 6 3/4"
Asked by: Victor
The crown stops, when properly fitted to a De Walt Se a De Walt saw work well with that sized crown. The problem may rather be "will your saw cut that size crown. You will need a high enough back fence to rest the bottom of the crown on. Because, as you may know, to cut crown(most anyways). You cut it upside down. Make first cut, then measure from that cut to the other. Learn to cope crown, and it will come together better

Will it work mitter saw dewalt model DW713?

In the description I didn’t see model DW713 listed. Thank you.
Asked by: Nate
There are two ways to be sure they'll work, or not. 1 check the user manual that came with your saw, or the one you are looking at buying. It should give the specifications for crown stops. 2. Check the specifications page for the crown stops. It should tell you which saws they will fit.

How to modify a different miter saw to fit these miter crown stops

Asked by: Danny
Danny, if you are good with drills and taps, you can have holes tapped on the sides of your saw(similar to a De Walt). You may need to actually measure a De Walt saw for exact position, if you have wing bolts. Try too tap the same sized hole. If you cannot do it, you can all a buddy, or take it to a machine shop, they should be able to place and bore holes for you.

How to install the clips to dws716 miter saw

Asked by: DJ
There should be a bolt hole on either side of the cut table, one on the right, and one on the left(maybe approximately 1 inch down the side) it may have a wing type bolt in it already, you will have to remove them and place the crown stops on them. One is right and the other left
