Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product description incorrect Product description says "minimum chuck size 1/4" but when I picked up it turned out to be 1/2" shank.. had to purchase a new router to use this bit. If product description had been correct, i would have still purchased but bought a router at the same time, instead this cost me a full working day waiting for a 2nd order to be filled.

How much hp should your router have to use this bit

Asked by: Gary
If your router can fit a 1/2" bit it should have no issue. I run a 2 horsepower router and it works brilliantly well on a low/medium setting for most applications. Just do smaller and lighter passes if it bogs as you should be doing anyways. You don't want to burn your fresh edge by forcing it to take off too much material in a single pass.
