Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performed Flawlessly I used this blade to cut hardwood flooring and to do a lot of trim work where a smooth, clean cut is very important. This blade did not disappoint. It moved quickly and precisely through every cut without splintering. I couldn't have asked for better performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from super fine and smooth cut I installed this blade on a compound miter saw and it cut down the vibration I felt in the handle before the blade change, it was not too bad before but is really smooth now. The cuts are clean and smooth like they have been sanded already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoooooth... I stepped up from the factory DeWalt blade on my 12" dbl bevel compound miter to this one for a recent trim project (two piece trim for nine windows). The blade cut smooth and true in both the light pine L-trim and the 2 1/2 inch plastic composite. It was said in another review that this is not good for composite which I was concerned with initially. I found that if you make it a quick, clean cut the blade is excellent. If you make slow cuts, it may leave some residue at the cut from heating/melting the composite material. Just do a couple quick test cuts to see. I used the blade on particle shelving, composite trim and wood trim with excellent results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great for wood? Great for wood but BAD for anything else, laminate, etc... VERY CLEAN cuts on wood products

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dosn't get any better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best finish blade out there.

I'm rebuilding a deck. Will this blade work to cut both the aluminum railing and the Trex boards?

Asked by: JRMc
Hello, Unfortunately, that blade is not designed to cut Trex boards. It is designed to cut primarily non-ferrous metals and thin plastics such as PVC. The Trex boards (and any other composite decking) require a much different tooth configuration in order to avoid melting, swirling and/or premature dulling of the blade (not to mention any number of other issues that may arise with improper use.) We recommend the Diablo D1284CDC blade for all of your composite decking needs. Thank you for your interest in our products,
