I thought that it would save me some time cutting with my tin snips. i was wrong after cutting only 3 pieces it was so dull it would no longer cut anything. I would love to get my money back. I paid more than the $4 price they are now just a month ago. I would not buy this blade for metal cutting. when i get home i will take a picture to share what it looks like and post it here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SWEET! This cut off wheel worked very nicely, used it the first time to cut a 48 inch sheet of stainless steel, was happy to do the work and left reasonably clean cuts. If you are used to using a 4.5 inch grinder for cutting metal it helps to remember that the kerf is pretty big at 1/8 inch. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This blade works for cutting steel. Lots of "sparkles"... This blade works for cutting steel. Lots of "sparkles" spray out, like a sparkler on the 4th of July. Wear gloves and goggles. I prefer to cut a little at a time, so the blade doesn't get way too hot.

It’s not the best but Yes.  I was being cheap because I had a small area to put up railing so a few spindles of square tubing and a couple of posts.   The tubing cut ok with lots of water to cool it.  Don’t rush it if it gets too hot the paint may bubble.  The aluminum block used for the base of the post was a lot tougher to cut. If you only have a few pieces it’s cheaper but if you are doing a fair bit invest in a proper blade to cut aluminum

whats the maximum steel thickness this can cut?

Don't mean to be a wise guy but for saftey reasons, if you need to ask this question then you do not need to be using this product. used improperly it will burst. With that said it is capable of cutting thru any thickness up to the radius of the cutter using the proper tool and method.

Hi Steven, Bonded abrasive blades are not meant to cut aluminum. Please use the Diablo 7-1/4" 56T Aluminum Blade. To check it out, just search homedepot.com for Product #D0756NR.
