Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage They should not sell this product. It is supposed to be more than efficient it is not. The thermostat is on the baseboard so always thinks the roomer is cooler than it is. As the outside temperature fluctuates you constantly need to readjust and generally are too hot as a result. One day 21 is 21 the next 21 set on thermostat is actually 25 the next day it is 15. Absolute garbage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good. Easy to install and looks good. We will have to buy a larger one though as this was two small to heat a large bedroom. Worked good in the small bedroom though.

This little heater puts out more heat than any baseboard I have purchased for our complex. It states it heats 150 sq ft. But I have been using them in bedrooms because they are smaller and the tenants love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice heater Have installed all brands, relatively similar installation. Appearance is definitely above average. I feel the directions are adequate for qualified personel. If you don’t know how to achieve 240V or distinquish what color wire functions as what relative to the circuit, please don’t try to install this, or any other electrical device no matter if the directions of the device explains to you what color wires mean what or not. Electricity is actually dangerous. Nice heater!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Melted outlets and discoloured walls After we replaced baseboard heaters in a rental apartment with Dimplex units, we experienced two problems: 1) The Dimplex requirement that its heaters should not be installed under an existing electrical outlet must be respected. The Dimplex units which we installed slightly melted and deformed the outlets above. Since it was not practical to move the outlets, we have had to revert to the traditional style of baseboard heater which convects heated air more out the front rather than straight up the wall. 2) The tenants of our rental unit had a pet dog which shed hair. Some of the pet hair managed to float around and descend through the open top of the heater then land on the heating elements, where it fizzled, burned up, and created soot which, when convected up out of the heater, discoloured the wall above. This happened over two years.

Does this model use a single pole thermostat or a double pole? Or does it matter?

Asked by: jaydub
Good Day, This baseboard does not come with a built in thermostat. You can purchase a wall thermostat separately and are able to use either single or double pole. Glen Dimplex Customer Experience Team

Have 1000 and a 1500 LPC Series heaters in one room have other LPC series in 3 other rooms. They are on the Model CX-MPC wireless control. I would like to  hardwire a thermostat to operate the 1000/1500 separate need wiring instructions.

Asked by: Patmat
Good Morning, The CX-MPC is a wireless control. A CST-240 or a HTC621 would suit your needs. Thank you
